EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

How much 'clout' does the concierge have when it comes to making an ADR when it may not be available through online??

Unfortunately, IPO doesn't have any pull when it comes to getting ADRs. You can let them know what you want and have them look along with you and then cancel any duplicates if there are any. It's always good to have someone else looking, especially for those hard to get ADRs ;).

As you said, there are many differing opinions on this. In my opinion, for what it is worth, if you truly do not care of your room requests, location, floor, etc - go ahead and do online check-in. If there is a specific preference (yes to a daybed, certain view, floor, etc) you have, I have found it to be better to wait and check-in upon arrival so you get to talk to an actual human being. :) Now of course, that has just been my experience.

Thank you!!

Is there a restroom nearby the Club Level Lounge in most resorts? Just thinking of the resorts we're considering for future stays and not all rooms on the CL floor, is there a handy place to use the restroom (with 4 younger kids, we may need the restroom nearby - or know to be prepared to get them to the room) littlest may be training during next visit.

Thanks

Gran Floridian does not have one near the club lounge in RPC. I found this very frustrating with a 3 year old.
YC has one right outside the lounge.

Does anyone have experience with club level staff and Southwest air check in? I thought I saw on a thread that the CL staff can check you in at the 24 hour mark. Anyone know if this is true?

CL staff will check you into any airline and print your boarding passes. :)

Here's what I know:

YC, yes. There's one right next to lounge.
Poly, yes. It's just upstairs from the lounge (visible from the lounge).
GF SL, none that I'm aware of, but my guess is that there is one.
CR, none that I'm aware of. I believe we were directed down the elevators to the main lobby when we needed to use the facilities before our room was ready.
BWI, none that I'm aware of.

BWI has a restroom right outside the club lounge. Right after you exit the lounge, it's on your right.

Yes! We love this about CL! We give them our flight info and they check us in and print our boarding passes at the 24-hour mark. It's wonderful not to have to keep track of the time, set an alarm and do the check-in on our phones. So far, CL at BWI, BC and CR has done this for us. We've also stayed CL at Poly, but we drove to/fro the beach during that stay, so I don't have personal experience with the process there.

Yes! In fact at my BC CL stay earlier in the month, my boarding passes magically showed up under the room door. :thumbsup2

The BC CL has a bathroom in the lounge.

Thanks for this thread!

We are staying CL at WL from Oct 17-23.
My husband doesn't know that we are going to be CL, he thinks we have just a CV. This trip is our 'reunion vacation' from him coming back from Afghanistan. He's a civilian contractor there.
Comes home Sept 28 and will return for another tour Nov 6.

What a great surprise. I am sure you will have a great time. Enjoy your time with your husband.

I lurk on these boards all the time, but rarely post. Today I need your help!

We (my best friend, me, and our kids) may be booking another trip fairly soon to WDW. When we were there in November, we stayed CL at the Poly and had a fantastic time! We've spoiled ourselves now and don't want to stay anywhere other than CL ever again!

I know the Poly is a mess right now, but we spend a ton of time in the parks and don't really think that would bother us.

Looking online, we only have a few options for CL since we'd be going so soon (August) and I wanted everyone's opinion on what to book. One of the main things we loved about Poly CL was that there was 24 hour access to the lounge and the coffee/soft drinks even if we were late getting in at night. What other CL lounges allow 24 hour access for drinks?

Our options would be:

Poly
Garden Wing Hospitality Suite @ CR
Beach Club
Wilderness Lodge
AKL

Thanks in advance!

I agree 100% that I love the CL that allows 24 hour access. BC and BWI does not. I know it is not an option but GF SL is always open - and can always get something to drink and sit and talk.

This time, 3 weeks from now, I will be in my turndown sheets and enjoying my first night in YCCL

Heading to BWI in 3 weeks for my first CL stay. Just read on another thread that someone thinks the concierge can book your 4th FP+ when staying CL- is there any truth in this?

I just read the same thread and posted an answer there. When we were at the BWI in Feb. we were running really late and were going to miss our TSM fastpass and I stopped and asked the concierge desk if they could book one for me at a later time. TSM did not have any more available so she gave me a fastpass to use on anything and told us that they would be happy to help with fastpasses we just had to ask. Not quite the same thing but if your polite and don't abuse the offer I think they could help you.

This is so good to know. The FP+ stresses me out. My husband is already not thrilled about having to know where we want to eat 6 months in advance, now I have to plan the rides too. I worry is what if my kids want to do TSM 3x but do not like BTM. So do I plan to go to DHS 3 days in a row?
How do you plan your rides?

Well.. Apparently, I am going to spend my time in Disney in a scooter. I have been having pain in my heel and arch and they think I tore a ligament. I am in a boot and looks like I will be until at least August. I can walk without it but after even just a bit of pool time today in flip flops, my arch is aching..

I contacted Buenavista scooters and will be using them.. Anyone have any suggestions?? I haven't used one except in the grocery store here and once at Disney when I was 18 weeks pregnant..17 years ago. I am worried about being a pain for bus riders and other guests
