EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

Hey everyone!

I am so excited to say that we just booked for the Princess Half Marathon in Feb. We are staying BWI CL Deluxe at this time. :cool1: One of my friends mentioned going with a 2 bedroom villa instead but I was unsure if CL is available when you stay in the villas.

Thanks

Nope, there is no CL on the villas side.....

Yep the first floors have wooden bannister style fencing ... We did have a duck come in our room when we left the door open lol he saw us and headed right out. I can't remember how he got through the fencing? This with in 2005 and we had a beautiful corner theme park view in conch key with 2 patio balcony areas, one facing magic kingdom and lake and the other the marina. Wow what a fun trip it was our twin grandsons 5th birthday : )

Awwww!! How cute! My kids would totally be thrilled if something like that happened!! :)

Has anyone been to the BWI CL recently? I was there 3 years ago and loved it. Last year we stayed at the BC CL and were really disappointed with the evening offerings. We usually eat a mid-afternoon lunch in the parks and get back to the hotel around 5:00 or 6:00 where we like to stop off in the lounge for a little snack before heading to dinner around 8:00. Last year the offerings at the BC seemed to be a greasy fried thing every night. When I mentioned it to management I was told that the offerings were not meant to replace a meal and that all the lounges were changing their menu. Believe me I didn't intend on replacing dinner with the club offerings. I was just hoping to have a little more of a variety to choose from. So can anyone tell my what I should expect from the BWI when I arrive in August this year?

I can promise you that WL lounge did not have all greasy fried foods when we were there last year. I guess you'd have to know more about what they meant when they said the lounges were changing their menu. From what I understand most of the offerings at WL (and from what I've researched for our AKL trip next month) are similar to items offered in the restaurants on site. They came out of the same kitchens. Just smaller portions. I can't see them switching to bar/pub food in only the CL lounges. At least not in those 2 spots. I know little about BC or the meals offered in the restaurants there

My Husband and I thought Animal kingdom lodge was very romantic and loved the exotic feel of the lobby and surroundings. The club level staff is always looking to tend to your needs and are top notch, the food offerings are delicious and because they have a small kitchen in the back, they refresh often. The wine selections are from Africa and are in my opinion much better than the other resorts club level. Also they offer Mimosa in the morning which on vacation was such a treat. Other clubs we been to didn't offer that.

We were able to just do resorts days and enjoy the animals at the viewing stations, and sit by the pool and have a drinks at the thatch roof looking tropical bar ( so cute ). Or in the evening, the bar which is called Victoria Falls is just spectacular in theme and atmosphere. We went there after our amazing meal at Jiko's which is the resorts signature restaurant. Boma's is there buffet style Restaurant which is awesome too...

Also they offer so much here for free, like sitting around a gorgeous large open pit fire with seating all around, with an African cast member telling their native stories. So enjoyable. They have night vision goggles you can use to view the animals at night. I believe you can also book a Sunrise Safari which is extra, but was such an amazing experience, they serve you a private Breakfast buffet that is very special and so delicious for your group after the safari. We loved it. :lovestruc

So I am a huge fan of Animal Kingdom Club level for couples. We have done Grand Floridian, Wilderness, And Beach Club..... I so enjoyed our stay here. Good luck with what ever you decide is best :wizard:

Mimosas really??? I was there for 7 nights, how did I miss this :(

I keep reading this too. I've been to AKL CL many times and have never seen Mimosas. I must be doing something wrong.

Thanks! I'm happy to hear that the WL is still offering a good selection. We were there 2 years ago and I'd have to say they were the best. I'm hoping BWI is keeping close to the old menu that they had 3 year ago.

I was just there (WL CL) this last February and thought the menu was outstanding!! The one item they had one night that blew me away was the shepherd's pie!! It was so darn good!! Better than my own.. and that's a lot coming from me! LOL There were so many other wonderful items, but that is the one thing that stood out for me! ;)

With rumor of the main pool refurb beginning after Labor Day, our dates are Aug 31 - Sep 6. I'm seriously considering switching resorts. I'm afraid if I don't switch now, as it gets closer we could loose a spot at our 2nd choice,CSR BC. Decisions, decisions.....:(

Just booked our first CL stay. After much research, we chose WL July 26-August 2. DH is an extremely picky eater. I reviewed all the CL menus I could find, and it seems WL has the most he will eat. We are so excited! Any tips, suggestions, etc. you can offer is appreciated!

Great choice! We stayed WL CL 2 years ago and loved it. The evening food selections were different every night. A couple of the offerings included venison meatballs and sushi. My suggestion would be to check out the official Wilderness lodge thread it has alot of great information and pictures. Some of the CL rooms are pretty far away from the lounge so if it's important to you to be close, you should check out the map. Also our room was right by the geyser and boat dock which didn't bother us but I know some people would rather have a room with a little less noise.

I don't understand why wdw is starting pool refurbs mid to late summer when it's hot hot hot!! Why not refurb the pools later in fall & winter :confused3
We moved from Poly because of pool.

Thanks everyone! So far, our only request is bunk beds. My kids can't stand to sleep in the same bed. I've been following this thread and the WL thread for months. They both helped tremendously in making our decision.

I just wanted to mention that if you don't get a room with bunks, you can always ask if one is available. Sometimes requests get overlooked and if you are not assigned a BB room but one does happen to be available (or will be available later in the day), Disney is usually very accommodating and shouldn't have any trouble switching rooms :).

Sue, I have been wondering the same thing.:confused3:confused3 I am sure they have their reasons and it will all be fabulous in the end however, I would think winter would be more optimum.

So... is CL going to spoil us so much that we'll always want it after this trip?

YES!!!!:scared1: At least for me that is what has happened. It was just a different experience completely and we ended up having to beg the kids to leave the resort...:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Have fun!
