EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

I've done Chrismtas Eve and Christmas, but we're not really ADR people so I don't know that much. I do recall there are usually special Christmas Day brunches at some of the deluxe resorts. There are also characters at all the resort lobbies the days before Christmas and Santa is there on Christmas Eve. :santa:

Last year we did Epcot on 12/24. Future World was a ghost town in the evening and we popped back into World Shocase to use our Illuminations FP to end the night. We stayed in at YC CL on 12/25 so I don't have any parks experience for then. I would definitely do this time of year again. So magical!

Have fun! :goodvibes

Thank you!!!!!! :) I wasn't thinking we'd do a park 12/24 because I was afraid it would be a zoo, but maybe we should. I will have to find out about those brunches, that sounds promising. :goodvibes I made a breakfast ADR for 12/25 at WCC because I thought it might be fun for a Christmas morning. :goodvibes

Just checked in at AKL CL and noticed a sign that says there's trivia at 715 and the winner gets additional FP+'s!

Loving AKL CL so far. Super friendly staff, they have kept everything well stocked except the ants on a log (in which a family let a child eat the peanut butter out of at least 20) now they are all gone with in 45 minutes of starting the apps. They have a wonderful scallop and artichoke app for the adults and great wine.

Just back from a CR AC CL stay. The was excellent, all the CM's there were excellent and extremely helpful (especially Kathy and Kelrick). The selections from the lounge were excellent and frequently replenished; the nespresso coffee machine was fantastic. They were very helpful for making changes to dining and fastpass+ selections and the texting option for requests was probably the only reason I survived the week, it made FP+ bearable!) Overall a great stay!

So I just won trivia! Well actually I got 2nd place but 1st gave the prize to me. I just learned there are 11324 tiles on spaceship earth. Anyways, everyone in my party gets an additional fp+! It only took about 15 minutes so it was well worth it

Good to hear you had a great CR CL stay :). CR CL is one we are hoping to try sometime next year, so it's nice to read about positive stays ;).

That's awesome!!!

My family is staying at club level for the first time in December, we haven't stayed at a deluxe resort in 15 years so it will certainly be an exciting experience. Can't wait to see all that the Beach Club has to offer! :) thanks for the great info on club level!

I haven't stayed at the GF since it first opened years ago! And now I am planning a trip for the first time with our three boys (1, 2, & 4). We are staying at Sugar Loaf and I am trying to figure out if there is any need to have groceries delivered for milk for the boys as well as fresh fruit and yogurt (everyone gets up at 5 am in our house... so wanted to have some stuff in the fridge...). I am thinking the lounge will have milk, bananas etc. that I can take up the room, but wanted to confirm with folks who are in the know...

Thank you in advance for all the helpful replies!

We will be staying AKL CL soon. Have you been offered the texting service? If so, how did it work for you?

The lounge won't be serving any breakfast offerings until 7:00 AM. But yes they do have yogurt, milk, and fresh fruit every day. If you need milk before 7:00 I would just ask one of the lounge castmembers to give you some extra to store in your room fridge for early mornings. :)

From the pictures in the first of the thread there appears to be Dvd players in the contemporary rooms, but not sure what room that is. I'm specifically asking about the Atrium club level rooms. Can someone confirm there is a Dvd player in the room? Do they have somewhere to get Dvds from like the GF RPC does? Does their collection of Dvds pale in comparison to RPC or are they pretty similar in size?

Thanks!

We've never borrowed a DVD before, so I can't speak to the size of their collection, but here is a photo of the atrium club room we had in March :)

I have several Disney movies on my iPad that I can put onto the TV with an AV cord I carry with me when we travel. :) I just watched Frozen from my iPad at a hotel in Chicago last weekend. I always travel with Disney movies! :thumbsup2:goodvibes

Secretdisbride,

Yes, you are allowed to take food to your room, and you'll have a fridge. We often stay out late, and do this so we have a late night snack available.

With CL, there is no need to have any groceries delivered, unless perhaps you really want a certain item that the lounge does not provide. One item the lounge at GF does not provide is bottled water. We usually rent a car and pick some up. (maybe the Hess stations on property)

One option we used in the past for water was Costco (you don't need a membership). The only problem is that some resorts charge a fee for items that are delivered, and I think GF might be one that does. (last time we did, we were at BC.) There is a good thread with updated info on delivery to hotels.

As for fresh fruit, GF has: bananas, apples, oranges and pears. They also put out melon chunks in the morning. If you are lucky you might also see grapes, maybe a tiny handful of blueberries. (a garnish on one platter for everyone in the lounge to share! :headache: )

As for yogurt, the yogurt they serve at all other CL's is packaged, at GF it's served in an open bowl with a spoon. You could maybe transfer some to a paper cup (all CL's have them, just ask). The staff might also be willing to give you a packaged yogurt if you ask, the resort has them.

Other non- bread items they have are sliced turkey and oatmeal.

All CL's have DVD's to borrow. I recall borrowing at GF and AKL. In both cases we never actually found time to watch them. I think we looked once at CR; I recall seeing a large binder full of DVD's. I can't say the collections are the same size, but I'm fairly confident they are similar. We were surprised that GF had both Lion King 1 1/2 and multiple copies of Frozen!

Thanks so much! As long as they have a decent collection I'm sure I'll find something to watch. I know it's strange to go to Disney World and then sit in your room and watch movies all day, but in the middle of my trip last year I literally only left the room for lunch, a snack in the club, and dinner. Also, I usually stay up later and I can never seem to find anything on TV to watch so movies were great last time.

Perfect! Thank you! I will be sure and ask for some to bring to the room the first afternoon/evening and then we'll be good for our 5 am breakfast. Not sure what I did to get such early risers... :)
