hi everyone- I will be booking ADR’s for 10 people for a mid June vacation. Usually I only need to book for 4. Has anyone been able to snag adr’s for this many people to the more popular places or do you have to split up maybe 5/5 and meet up after dinner? Looks like Boma, Biergarten don’t seem to be a problem. But some of these I’m interested in, i don’t see availability (when I test it out).

Dinners:
Boma
Biergarten
Ohanas
Liberty Tree
Mama Melrose’s
Garden Grill
Jungle navigation

Bfast:
Tusker House
1900 PF

Not sure I should waste precious time on my adr day looking for 10 or just go straight to the 5/5 plan?
Thanks for any past experiences/thoughts!

I booked many ADRs for a party of 10 in early December a couple years back. I did end up having to split the party on 4 of our 6 reservations. Most restaurants only have a few very large tables so they can’t accommodate very many big groups. However, when we checked in we’d explain that we were actually a single party and often the host was able to find us two tables very close together even if they couldn’t seat us at a single table.

I actually searched for 10 first in all cases before I went to split parties, but that was in early December which I think is less crowded than your time.

I booked all these except GG,LT, Biergarten for 10 last month (for a late Jan stay) right at 180 days at 6 am online. No problem. Got most of the times I wanted.

We have easily gotten ADR's for all of those places with a party of 8 and at Boma I remember the table we were at would have seated 10 to 12 easily

I booked for 12 people October before last. We got everything we wanted but had to be split up at Liberty Tree Tavern and Sci Fi. We are at some of the popular places like Sci Fi, Chef Mickey’s, TH, etc. we didn’t do BOG but I can’t remember now if I tried and didn’t get it, or if we just didn’t want to book it for whatever reason.

We have found that in reserving through the website, the number you can choose depends on the restaurant. Some places you'll be able to do for 10, and some you'll have to split into 2 groups. For some places we were able to book for 18 while in others we had to split up into 2 groups. Calling will be easier to book for the full group, but more time consuming and still with the caveat that the groups may be split.

I would try to book for all 10 first and see what you can get. If you run into issues then split up the parties or call and see if they can do the booking for you. I would start with Ohana first I think that'll be the hardest to get.

I booked a party of 9 at:

Garden Grill
Sci Fi
Be our Guest (breakfast)
Chef Mickey’s
Teppan Edo

All booked at the 180 days point, we haven’t actually been on our trip yet and I am hoping that Sci Fi can do 2 cars next to each other as we did last year when we were a party of 7 :)
