Experience with RCI Wait Lists

Just wondering if anyone has experienced a waitlist when exchanging thru RCI? i heard from a relative that for people exchanging into DVC from a non-DVC timeshare, the waitlist was about 1-2 years??

Just wanted to know if exchanging to RCI was the same.
