I just registered for the EEC with 3 other friends. We are taking a moms weekend and going without the kids and DHs. We are so excited! This is my first Disney race!

I have one question. After registering I read that there are 3 Disney resorts with discounts and that transportation will only be available to those 3 resorts. We already booked OKW for the weekend. Will there be a way for us to get back to OKW after the race?

DH and I did Expedition Everest last year and it was a hoot. If I could I would do it again this year, but there's no way we can squeeze a trip to WDW in at that time.

We were staying at AK, so I don't know the answer to your question about getting back to OKW. If there's no bus going to OKW, perhaps a taxi, or maybe another WISH member with a car would give you a lift.

Good luck and have fun.

I'm thinking we will probably have to take a taxi then. Port Orleans is one of the resorts. I was thinking maybe we could take a bus there and then onto Downtown Disney and then OKW. But it will probably be to late and a taxi would be much easier.

Splitting the cost of a taxi between 3 should make it pretty affordable.
I think you'll have a blast!

My family will make up 2 teams. DH and DS2 will be team Poofy Yetters (named for his round ball-like Yetti he got when he was little) and myself and DS1 will be team Lost Sherpas. DH decided the teams since they are faster but we have the Disney knowledge for the scavenger hunt. Should be a good time!!!

Can anyone tell me what that the after party is like? Free food? Free alcohol?

Our after party last year was rained out (we were in some of the last corrals to start), so I can't help you with what was served. I'm pretty sure there wasn't any alcohol though. Although that sounds nice...a glass of wine to unwind with after a fun run. :goodvibes

Disney doesn't give away food or alcohol at these events(post race parties). TOT 13K they charged $7 for a can of beer.

You basically get to ride a few rides while the park is closed to guests.
