Hello All,

My girlfriends and I are trying to plan a trip to New York to see Daniel Radcliffe in How to Succeed in Business on Broadway in April next year. The only place we ever travel to is Disneyworld so planning/booking for this trip is proving difficult for me.
Does anyone have experience in booking with Expedia online? No one I know has used it before and I'd really love some feedback from some real people! LOL Reviews online kinda scare me unless I trust the site...and I trust the disboards.

Also wondering...has anyone ever stayed at the Hampton Inn Times Square North? It appears to get great reviews...but once again.. I sorta have trust issues.

Thanks to anyone who can help me!

I've used Expedia to book trips to WDW and California and I've had no problems. In fact they contacted me when flights were changed by the airlines which was quite useful.

I like them!

I book flights through them all of the time to WDW, Las Vegas, Europe, etc. I've never had a problem with flights. I get email updates on any flight changes.

I did have a problem booking a hotel through them so I no longer use them for lodging. The issue I had was that when I got to the hotel, I was supposed to be staying club level and they put me in a regular room. When I questioned it; the desk personnel told me that since my reservation was through Expedia, Expedia would have to clear up the matter. It was late on a Sunday night when I arrived and I couldn't get any help so I had to pay the difference in cash to upgrade to the room level I'd already paid for. The next day, while on vacation, I had to call Expedia to get everything resolved in order to get a credit back for the twice-paid upgrade.

We go to NYC quite frequently as we are only 3 hours away and we always stay at the Hampton Inn North. We love it there. It's great having 2 queen beds (and they are super comfy) and the rooms are a good size. Most of the hotels in NYC have double beds and the rooms are tiny. The hotel is always very clean, they have a hot (free!) breakfast every morning that is great and cheese, wine and cookies every night! The staff is very friendly and is accomodating. They actually have a man that stands by the door and is there just to assist guests with directions or fetching a cab! The location is fabulous. You are in the theatre district so walking distance to everything, but just far enough away from the heart of Times Square to actually have some peace and silence in the hotel.

I would fully recommend it. I have posted my reviews on Tripadvisor also. Have you ever visited that site for reviews?
