I have always wanted to eat at Blue Fin.

My friend goes to Chinatown for purses, she gets into vans and everything to see them.

WTC, I was working on 26th st. Just got off subway after the first plane. everyone was trying to use there cells and pay phones and all were jammed.

Then watched the 2nd plane on the news.

While looking out window saw the first building come down.

Very sad day.

If you had gone to the Winter Garden by the WTC site you would have seen this.

Not sure if anymore has been done, probably not much.

Central Park is my favorite part of the city. Just love it in any season.

Thanks for sharing. Maybe next time we can schedule a dinner or drink to meet.

Dawn - I finally read through your whole TR. I loved it! It was so fun to experience NYC through your eyes. You certainly did alot in a short amount of time!

So much to take in; see if I can remember everything I wanted to comment on...............

First of all, awesome pix of the city from the plane; and of that slice of NYC pizza. I was drooling when I saw that! Whenever family comes to visit me, I make them bring pizza and bagels. (the pizza and bagels in Mass. are NOT good!)

Your photos were amazing and made me so homesick. I worked on 50th & 7th for six years so it was fun to see your pix of my old stomping grounds.

Beautiful shots of the museums, from top of the Rock and Central Park. I know everyone thinks of "Enchanted" when they see the mall shot but that place always reminds me of that scene from Kramer vs. Kramer when Dustin Hoffman is teaching his son to ride a bike.

Food porn looks yummy. Sorry about the bad meal at Sardis. That place is a tourist trap. And don't you just love how you can get something to eat at just about ANY time in NYC? Cheesecake at 12:30am - Oh yeah!

Ray someday. Take that hubby of yours to the new Yankee stadium - as long as he takes off the Red Sox hat.

I truly enjoyed your Trip Report. As someone who's worked in the City for 20 years, I can say that you absolutely captured many of the touristy attractions and made them fun. Your photos are wonderful and have a Disneyesque feel to them. I also loved your naivety when it comes to subway confusion, cab rides, splitting checks, price-haggling in chinatown and the appearance of some native new yorkers.

Great job.

yeah, i'm here! i just haven't been able to post much on the disboards. i'm in a trial all week (still not done - going into next week!). all the flooding was south of me. it's been bad though. it's so sad to watch the news and see all these homes destroyed.
