I had planned on doing 5 miles today. Tried a different route and was determined to not keep looking at my Garmin. Wanted to run on how I felt, not to keep focusing on the time.
Did my route, which turned out to be only 4.3 miles. But that's ok because the route had several inclines, in both directions. By the time I finished, my legs were very tired. Took me an hour and two minutes to finish. I tend to run 1/2 way up the inclines and walk the other 1/2. Figured I could cut about 10 min. off my time if it wasn't for those d*** hills.
Thanks, although I don't think it was a good idea to go to the gym today. Just came down with a bad cold this morning, and I've been physically and mentally exhausted since I've been back.
Usually do this six times a week or so, and going to the gym has become such a habit that I now actually feel bad when I miss a day. I need help!
DH and I had a great bike ride this morning, setting a new personal distance record: 31.1 miles with an average speed of 12.9 mph. Followed by an outstanding dim sum lunch, of course.
