 Can I tell you all, I am in heaven!!!!! I am on vacation and I just visited the gym here where we are staying and it is awesome!!!! I exercised for an hour and could have gone forever! (Only bad thing is DS has to exercise right beside me, he can't sit or anything and at one hour he was done...not bad for an almost 8 year old).

DH is attending his retirement classes in southern Italy and DS and I came along to do some site seeing, however today is an Italian holiday (Pasquetta or Easter Monday) so everything is closed. Since I have indulged a little since we arrived last night (well, lots of fresh seafood, but I emphasize lots and a pastry this morning!) I thought I needed to hit the gym. Well this gym is far superior to my regular gym, I am coming every day this week!!!!!

So how about it gang.....what did you do to get moving today???

geesch what time is it?
I just woke up, sitting here sucking down coffee, getting DS ready for the school bus
THEN I'll come back, take a walk before heading in to work
Have a good day everyone! Hoping to post back later than I did my 10,000 steps for the day

Wow! You guys are up early this morning!

Newholiday - I'm so proud, impressed and encouraged by your exercising on vacation. I am determined to do the same thing when I'm on vacation. Good for you!

tiggerlover - I know you'll report back that you did your exercise for the day.

This morning I did FIRM cardio sculpt blaster and had a ball! I just love working out with the FIRM.

Okay, who's next? We wanna know what you did to move your body today!

I am in Italy, we are 6 hours ahead of EST. When I originally posted this it was almost 11am here.

I managed an hour and a half total today. One hour this morning and 30 minutes this afternoon. This is the most I have ever worked out in one day (at the gym) and I am feeling it in my legs. I am pooped.

working out on vacation! you are my hero!

after a hiatus of four days I felt wimpy and slow this morning -- I did 30 mins of FIRM cardio mix and then 10 mins of crunchers/push-ups and stretching. felt good to get back at it though!

I did the firm maximim cardio burn plus abs. Wow what a great workout. I will probably really feel it tomorrow!

I ran again today, and it got easier. I was actually able to go a bit further than on Friday! I think I actually like to run, now.

Keep up the good work, everyone!

Im ending the day having done 10,400 steps
after work i took a 1/2hr walk outside

1st time back to the gym since getting back home from vacation.

Did 10.80 miles on the stationary bike (in a 1/2 hr), boy did it feel good!!!!

Today was an awesome exercise day for me! So, here goes...

I got home from school, and I had a package from my super-stellar (trying to reincorporate 80's words into everyday language) friend, Julie, had mailed me a package. We got back from WDW on March 20, and if there is any place we had fun at down there, it was Jellyrolls...Because of Jellyrolls, we only got 3 hours of sleep per night! Whew! We danced our minds out down there....The best workout ever, I swear! So...in the package, was a CD! She made a compilation of our favorite Jellyrolls tunes, and I love it!

Anyway, after doing a preview of the CD, I popped it in the CD player, drove down to the lake, and went for a walk. But, something happened... I RAN! I ran for 18 minutes of my 35 minute walk! It was an amazing feeling. Further proof of my theory that Jellyrolls is my happiest place to be! Then, I came home and did situps...125 of them! I think people were suspicious of the crazy girl bumbling down the boardwalk with a huge smile on her face! But...I'm happy, so I don't care!

Just wanted to share, sorry it got long. Hope all my WISH buddies are having a good day and starting off the week right!

After 2 days off, I did the 30 min, 2 mile WATP.

Way to go everyone! :sunny:

Well today was the official start to my 5K training.....I have exactly 2 months. So I did the weight circuit, 32 minutes on the Eppitical and then walked/ran for 2 miles on the treadmill. I don't run often, and when I do it is at an incline of 15 and only for a half minute or so. I did no incline today and almost ran a half mile before walking for a break....boy do my legs feel it.

So great to read such chipper posts! I just JOINED the gym yesterday but that was a big step since it's been on my calendar for about 6 months now. I'm "training" for our Segway tour at Epcot next month, and now I'll add training for Jellyrolls too! LOL. Thanks for the boost this morning, ladies!

Hi gshoe...........
Just wanted to let you know that I too have never really ran before but, since the "about the marathon thread" I started last week, there were lots of good advice on running!
One was walk 2 minutes then run the restof the mile.
At the time, I was only running 2 miles, I did this method and ran four miles, the very first time I tried it! I actullay doubled my distance. I do this 4 times a week now..........You can try doing this by walking 4 minutes or 3 and then running the restof the mile. It works very well............ good luck training, I am looking for a few 5 k's to run to get me in to the marathn spirit.

Anyway good luck!

I did 4 circuits at Curves, then walked for 45 minutes.
