How often do you exercise? I was doing 4-5 times per week now I'm shooting for 6-7 days per week with WATP or walking for an hour outside. So do you give yourself and your muscles a break or do you go for it every day? :D

I find I do best every day. I do try to mix it up though. I do try to get a good cardio work out ever M, W, F, and then I will do Pilates or strength training, or just a brisk walk on the other days. I try to go for a regular stroll every day. I know it's not really vigorous exercise, but it gets me up off the sofa and out of the house and prepares my mind for life outside the box. If I don't exercise every day, I get sore and lazy and then one day becomes two and so on. Today, I am feeling the effects of my flu shot and am hoping by 3:00 I feel better so I can get to the gym with DD and her Girl Scout Troop, and squeeze in a cardio workout. I won't beat myself up about it if I don't, I'll just make myself do something extra tomorrow.

Keep the Faith!

I go for 5 days a week, usually M-F with weekends off.

I jog 3 miles, 7 days a week(excluding extreme weather conditions, when I do my bike indoors, and vacations). I try to walk about the same, 5 days a week, but that doesnt always get in.
I also ab crunch for about 10-15 minutes 6 days a week.

I WATP everyday but saturday. Curves 5 times a week. and a 10 minute ab tape except saturdays. So saturdays are my day off. Someone told me I may be working too hard. I think not!:)

I have always heard to exercise 3 days a week to maintain and 4-6 days to lose. In my mind those 3 days would need to be pretty good workouts :)

I shoot for 6 days a week; I go for variety. I try to have 2-3 intense workout days and balance the remainder with moderate intensity workouts.

If you are doing strength training with weights, I think it's best to take at least one day off so not to work the same muscle groups two days in a row. I have heard mixed opinions on abs, one beings they are such a large group it's ok to work them without a day of rest, the flip side is never ever work any group without a day of rest between sessions. I think there is a happy medium depending on how intense you are working.

Did you know that recovery is part of the muscle building phase? Your muscles need that recovery time to build new muscle!

for me the WATP are not so intense that I couldn't do them everyday without sore muscles. BUT - I have to be careful not to burn out. I get bored if I do the same exercise all the time, but that's me ;) And I think there's something mentally beneficial to giving yourself a day off; helps to rejuvenate your passion for exercising! (passion?)
