Excuse me, you'll need to see security. What has Mickeystoontown done? Update 3/25x2

After gazing at the lovely caramel treats in the display cases, I decided on this tasty treat. ::yes:: The top:
DSCF3774.jpg

We sat down on the brick ledge to rest our toothies and it was then that I realized why no one else had bought anything. They wanted me to share mine! What’s a good woman to do but share or look like one selfish son of a gun?

That looks WONDERFUL!!! I'm not sure I would have shared mine. Afterall they all just passed up the chance to buy one. Plus if they really wanted one it was probably just a few steps away. Time for some tough love! If you were dealing with young kids I would have shared in an instant.

I'm glad no teeth were lost in the filming of this episode!

So funny about your America Pavilion shop photo caption. When I read that you were popping into the shop I thought to myself "I remember America's store being terrible. I wonder what Lisa found to photograph" And then I saw the lone photo of the Duffys. I literally LOLed. :rotfl:

You are very, very generous to share your treat. I have yet to get myself anything from the caramel shop (always too full), but when I do-you can bet it's going to be ALL MINE. :lmao:

You know - there might be a way of combining frisky with your request for a cruise. Just sayin! :rotfl2:

I have always been curious about how those giant gummies tasted. But do they get yucky where you bite into them? How many sittings does it take to consume them? So many questions. :rotfl2:

Your treat from Germany looks really good! Too bad you were forced to share!! :rotfl:

Those gummy bears are HUGE! I can't imagine eating that much gummy candy!

It used to work for me....not so much anymore. :rotfl2:

Love the update. It's a shame you didn't get pics of the Japanese gardens. A few months ago while JJ was playing the Perry game with dh, I went around snapping pictures. I really got a chance to take in the beauty of both Japan that day, and Italy another day.

Those caramels are hard to resist. So nice of you to share. I never noticed those giant gummy bears. Not sure if it's a good idea or not to point them out to JJ?

Speaking of caramels...DS had his first Baking and Pastry Class this semester. Among many things that they did that first 6 hour class, he saw a video about making caramel. He came home from school and attempted it. The consistency was wonderful, just like at the Karamel Kuche, but he flavored them with raspberry flavor and ruined them imho. He and Jj loved them. I made him promise next time he would add vanilla if he has to add flavor.

You are very blessed to have the in-laws you do. I keep praying for similar blessings in my sons future.

Love the updates! Glad you got your computer fixed.

So awesome that your pearl had twins! Hope you have pics of the finished product!

LOVE the Caramel store, :lovestruc :worship: I got one of the caramel chocolate strawberries when I was there in 2011. it was Yummy, I really wanted to get more things but we were headed into dinner at the Biergarten soon and I was afraid it would melt in the heat. I will have to try more things next time.

I looked at those strawberries and almost got one but when I spied the one that I ended up with, I knew I had to have it.

I can't believe in all my trips I have never seen the Japanese Gardens or gone into the carmel shop in Germany. Thank you for bringing them to my attention...they are now among my must dos for the next trip.Love the pictures BTW

Oh yes, do make sure that you venture further into Japan and Germany. There are all sorts of things to see there.

you are an updating machine! I read your post about the twins but was using my phone and the darn thing won't let me just reply sometimes unless I'm quoting which is supremely annoying and then it can take a bit to get back.

I'm glad that woman didn't take your big hairy ugly oyster, how fun is that!

Bunch of mooches you are traveling with I think but how nice of you to share your treat (and glad you didn't lose a tooth...this time). Cracking up about the conversation with John. I'm a fan of booking and telling/selling later myself. I just let Jeff know know we have a dummy booking :rotfl: and I made that back in August, have moved it once already and I'm sure it's not final at all.

I feel like I have been lacking in the updates and made a resolution to post more often. Yeah right. Like that's going to keep happenin'.

Yeah, they were a bunch of mooches but you should have seen their faces. I couldn't turn them away. :p

I was rummaging around on the Disney Cruiseline site again this morning and I could book for just a little over $300 and not have to pay the balance until 2014 so I may just end up donig that.

Oh. my. I didn't know about those giant gummy bears, but I know one 16 year old daughter who will love one of those! :thumbsup2

Delicious! :)

Uhmm, Losing a tooth sounds vaguely familiar! ;)

Every since that little tooth incident a few years ago, I'm super careful when eating ooey gooey stuff.

The giant gummy bears are sometimes hard to find. We ended up asking a castmember where to find them.

That looks WONDERFUL!!! I'm not sure I would have shared mine. Afterall they all just passed up the chance to buy one. Plus if they really wanted one it was probably just a few steps away. Time for some tough love! If you were dealing with young kids I would have shared in an instant.

I'm a sucker for a pitiful face and they were all looking at me with hope in their eyes. :lmao: Seriously, though, the candy was pretty big and, in that heat, I wouldn't have eaten it all by myself anyway.

The America store is pretty bare isn't it? I have never really found anything in there that interests me.

The candy that I bought was about the size of the palm of my hand so it was plenty big enough to share. As a matter of fact, I had a little piece left over that I put in my purse to eat later.

It's funny that you said that because I had planned on using that later on should I need to. ;)

I am not a big gummy anything fan but Jesse and Hunter said that they were delicious! They had half of them eaten in no time at all.

Your treat from Germany looks really good! Too bad you were forced to share!! :rotfl:

I forgot how many ounces the gummy bears were but they were definitely big. Can you imagine the calories in them? :faint:

It used to work for me....not so much anymore. :rotfl2:

I am pretty sure that it will always work on John. I joke that he'll be 90 years old and still wanting it.

The gummy bears were kind of hard to find. The first year, we had to ask where they were. This year, we went to the register to ask a castmember and they were sititng right next to the cash register.

Oh I don't know that I would have liked the raspberry flavoring since I'm not a big raspberry fan. Now, the vanilla flavored caramel...I'd be all over that!

That caramel store is totally on my to-do list for this next trip. I won't be doing too much sharing considering 2 of mine are in braces and can't eat caramel! Too bad for them! ;)

I wonder how the gummy bears would work as gifts to bring home for my grandkids? Are they wrapped so they stay fresh? All of the kids like gummies but I doubt they would ever find big ones like your bears around here, so it would make an unusual item to give to them. I'm thinking a lot cheaper than the high priced poorly-made toys we've brought home in the past.

Awww poor Mama will have to eat it all! Poor thing. ;)

They come is a hard plastic container that opens from the middle. It looks like a mold. It's sealed tightly so I believe they would travel well. I'm thinking that the bear cost about $7 or so.

I found a picture on the internet of the packaging:

Hi Lisa! Great update!!! I love Germany!! It is my favorite country in the World (Showcase)!!! It was so nice of you to share your treat!! You are nicer than me!! :thumbsup2 How long does it take to ear one of those Gummy Bears?? Looks so big!!! LOL!

Hope all is well!

Alas, the Disney Food Blog posted yesterday that the giant gummy bears are no longer available at Epcot. :( Poor Hunter, what will he do? The author also posted a link to buy them online, but really, that's not the same thing at all, is it?

Oh that's sad. Definately not the same. Looks like Hunter is going to have to find a new treat. Has he ever tried those drinks with the marbles inside at Japan? My oldest collects glasses and bottles and he loved them. Figuring out how to open it for the first time is a real challange and part of the fun.

It didn't take Hunter long to eat the whole bear. He's one of those kids that can sit down and eat an entire bag of gummies though.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I had heard rumors but had hoped that it wasn't true.

I've never seen those drinks!? Do you know what they are called?

How cool that your oldest collects glasses and bottles. We do too! When we were breaking ground on our house, we found a small little bottle in the dirt. Mama said that it looked like an old medicine bottle. When we were done with the house, we gathered up the pencils that we used to when we were building (we did almost the whole house ourselves), and put them in that little bottle. It's sitting on the shelf of the hutch John made me.

Just a quick note: Please keep my mother-in-law in your thoughts and prayers. She found out earlier this week that she has been having mini-strokes. John's neurologist is also her doctor so we have faith that he will figure out a course of action for her. Making her follow doctor's orders is going to be the hard part!

**Update coming soon! I promise!

So sorry to hear about John's mother. Sending positive thoughts and prayers her way!

How close does she live to you?
