Excuse Me, Does this Milk Come with Refills? A Review w/pics! Updated 1900 PF 12/27

Hello! Hello!

We're back from a 7 night stay at the Polynesian. I am going to attempt to do a food review, my first. So after reading all the other reviews, I'm going to give it a shot! Bear with me, it might be pretty good.


Okay - 1st day -

We flew in from Upstate NY and were there around 11am - 12 pm.
Staying 7 nights at the Poly with Deluxe Dining.

There are 6 of us. My parents, the husband and the 2 daughters.

Hence the title: The reason for the title will be further on down the road...

Multigrain Turkey Club Sandwich w/ slaw

Kids Chicken Nugget Meal

Kids Turkey & Cheese Sandwich Meal

Double Cheeseburger

Overall: Not bad for our 1st meal of the trip. Good portions, flavorful. Never had a problem with the ordering system. Even my 70's ish parents can do it!

It seems like I'm forgeting somewhere, but I'm sure I'll remember.

We also did Hoop Dee Doo the first night. I forgot to take any pictures, sorry.

But...we had an awesome seat. Center, about halfway to the front. They sang and stood right in front of us. One of the women gave my husband a wink! Great night, perfect entertainment. The balcony was closed this show (5pm). Gratuity was included in this meal (on the dining plan).


Tipping - was crazy! We were fully aware of the 18% because of our party size. No problem. But every meal we were "reminded" in some sort of way that they wanted their tip. One was just down right rude, more on that later.

Magic Kingdom Day

We were dreamed!​

I figured I'd throw this in there...

We were chosen to open Magic Kingdom​

How awesome was this!

We were chosen at the gate. We were driven around magic kingdom in an old firetruck to Toontown Fair. As we were waiting for the train to warm up, next thing you know this was coming at us...

and...

We were brought around the front of Magic Kingdom, threw confetti, stood next to Mickey Mouse and had hundreds of people looking up at us

It was something we will never forget.it brought tears to my eyes.

Awesome food here. We would go back.

Tomato Bisque for 3 of us...

Kid's Mickey's turkey Sand...

Kid's Grilled Chicken Sticks...

Brownie Sundae...for me. This was awesome

Very good food here. Total price for 4 of us (I didn't keep track of the parents bill) was $71.56. plus the tip (12.09)

But remember we're on the deluxe plan!


We had one incident here. One of the waitresses bumped into a waiter and mustard and mayo went flying. It hit 3 people; one of them was my stepfather. He had mustard on his jacket and pants. We got a fastpass for one attraction for all of us. Oh well better than nothing!

This was a good character meal. I much prefer Garden Grill for the character interaction. But it wasn't bad. We had to wait about 15 min. before we were seated.

Bill here for the 4 of us would have been $95.81. Tip was $16.19.

Enjoying so far - we loved the look of the Poly when we went to Ohana's last year, actually preferred the feeling inside to that of the GF where we were staying.

You lucky things opening the MK.

Adult Mickey waffles and 2 kids meals...

Breakfast Sandwich

Tonga Toast...looks kinda over cooked to me

Again...good but Tonga Toast was alittle burnt. We'll give it a one

Lunch this day was at the Sci Fi. We had a 11:30 am ressie.

Lets see. We had the following to eat:

Onion Rings X 2

7 Bean Chili X 2

Kid's pizza

Smoked baby Back Ribs

Italian Grilled Chicken Sandwich

Shrimp pasta

Smoked Turkey Sandwich...sorry about the pic, I was trying to lean backwards over the seat & it didn't quite come out.

Kids ice cream sundae X 2

Hot Fudge Sundae X 2 ( husband says too little ice cream & too much whipped cream)

Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake - I would go back to Disney just for this dessert; this was awesome!

Overall - we would go back. Atmosphere was great. Food was good. Nothing to complain about here.

Total here was $105.46 with the tip. For 4 of us. Again I did not follow up with the parents and their bills.
