Do I have your interest? This is my first time writing a trip report of any kind, but I have read so many excellent ones I thought I would give it a go myself. I will explain the title soon but first I will introduce the cast.
The star of the PTR:
Alex-my 11yo DS. How do I explain my son, he is charming, kind, loving, stubborn, onrey and courageous. He is also my blessing. Alex has taught me a lot over the last few years about life. Alex has Duchenne's Muscular Dystropy and we have known about if for 6 years now. He has been wonderful through everything and takes it all in stride. Even though he has been poked and prodded enough for 4 lifetimes he will still tell the nurse thank you after she places his IV's. So, this trip is for him and it is a complete suprise!!
Next there is:
Me, Melissa I am a 34yo single mother of 2 great boys. I am an RN by profession, but I am currently home schooling Alex for the year. I love Disney but did not get to go as a child so my love has grown as I have brought my boys several times now. I am the reason for the title of this PTR!! Scary I Know
.
Supporting Cast (Not coming along)
First there is my older son Tyler. He is 13yo and drives me crazy whenever he can. Always has a witty comeback for what I say to him. He did not come on our last trip to Disney with us because he wanted to go hunting instead. I told him he was crazy, he retorted with "it must be genetics". His first love, other than me
, is the military. I just put in an application for him to attend the Marine Military Academy in Texas. He has been begging to go to school here, I personally will freak out if he gets accepted. Tyler does not know that I am taking Alex to Disney, I plan to tell him over the phone when I am half way there!
Mom. My mom to be exact. 54 yo (she will Kill me for this). My mom has been on almost every Disney trip that we have taken. After every trip she says "Why don't we try somewhere else next time." Then two weeks later "When are we going back to Disney." I have to say that she is the greatest mother on the face of the earth. Nothing against your mothers, but mine is AWESOME!!!! She dropped her whole life to come help me when I lived in SC after my husband was killed in a car accident and has been with me ever since. I never would have finished college without her there to help with the boys. I thank God every day for blessing my life with her.
So that is the cast and crew for the little adventure. Next I will explain the title. WARNING!!! There will be talk of poop!!!
