If say disney have 100 slots, do they put them all on for the platinum "on line booking" date or do they keep some back for each "booking level"

Thanks

I believe all of the online slots are available from the beginning. They do hold back some Palo slots for booking once you are on the ship. If you don't get a reservation online, look in your Navigator the first day and go to the location for dining changes/reservations and you may be able to get what you want.

You are asking two different questions. For Port Adventures, all spots go up immediately -- they do not hold any back for later booking either online or on the ship. What they have is what they have. Once a port adventure is showing as sold out, the only way to get on it is for someone else to cancel (checking back up to 3 days before sailing or getting on waitlist once you are on board) or in the rare cases where DCL would add another bus (I have only seen this once you are on board when they have a long waitlist for an excursion that they may be able to work out space with the operator.)

For adult dining (Palo/Remy), they put most of spots up for booking immediately. However, they do hold back a number of spots for onboard. So if these show as booked online before sailing, you should still check once you are on board. (The Navigator will list where they are doing dining changes/bookings.)

The hold back of adult dining slots for onboard dining is not always a guarantee. On at least one occasion we could not get any Palo dining slot in advance, we had the earliest boarding group and upon boarding, went directly to Palo to inquire about a reservation, and were told they were fully booked for all three nights. IMO, I think they hold back some slots for onboard booking most of the time, but not ALL of the time, particularly with concierge guests getting any request they want in advance.

sorry that this is going to sound harsh - but DCL's Castaway Club Loyalty Program is a bare bones program and about the only "benefit" we get for being at a higher level is early booking, so holding back spots for each level would make the program even less than it is now.

Palo - they hold back lots of reservations for onboard booking - not for each CC level
Port Adventures: they are all released up front and when they're gone, they're gone. Unless DCL is able to add more slots because of demand and / or vendor capacity.

I'm a Silver member and with the exception of cabanas on Castaway Cay, I've never had a problem booking everything I wanted as long as I did it as soon as my reservation window opened.

I couldn't get palo and booked on day of my opening up for brunch

I wasn't sure how they worked

Will ask when board
frequently as a GOLD CC member, ON the booking day - as early as possible (9pm Pacific / midnight Eastern) I could not get Palo Brunch ressies. Sometimes as a Platinum I cannot get Brunch. BUT I have NEVER had an problem booking one after boarding on Embarkation Day.

Don't Worry, Board Early (ok your PAT governs this) and make your ressie once you board the ship.
