Excursions list adult prices and children prices. Are children considered ages 3-9 like other Disney attractions? Since the excursions are independent, are the child ages different?

Yes, usually children are price as children until the age of 9, at 10, they are considered adults. Also, if you are traveling with little ones under 5 beware. A LOT of excursions don't allow children under 5, especially any snorkeling or sailing ones. So, if you see a child age range 5 -9, that means all children under 5 aren't allowed to participate. Some of the excursions listed at 3 - 9 will allow children under 3, and they are at no charge.
