Hi,

The cruise is coming up fast! We leave on Saturday on Fantasy! Woot! Woot!

It struck me that I have no idea how much time to budget for getting to the pick up point for excursions. For instance, if we have an excursion leaving at 9:45, when should we start making our way off the ship? I know it is longer if you tender (we only have this issue in Grand Cayman), but have no idea if we should budget an hour, 15 minutes, etc..

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Depends on the all ashore time. Once they open it for people to leave, it can be hectic. People who self-booked excursions and other plans tend to line up in the atrium. Plus, the Disney excursions start leaving and you can hit a logjam at the security checkpoint where they scan you out with your KTTW card. It generally moves pretty smoothly, so you don't need to plan an hour or anything. Also, you need to know how far the meeting spot is from the ship. Some places, it could be a short walk, others it may be down a long pier and through some buildings.

I would plan say 15 minutes to get off the ship, counting walking from your room. Then add on what you think to get to the meeting spot. Ports can be hectic, but they move really smooth. I doubt you would need more than 30 minutes, unless you forget something and have to run back.

Disney excursion meet on the ship. It will be listed on your excursion ticket. They will meet in one of the lounges or theaters. Be sure that everyone has their key card and that all the adults have a photo ID.
