Catjammies. We had a 5 yo daughter and 7 yo son. Decided to take a taxi on our own and do Mr. Sanchos. We were disappointed, so we walked down the beach (about 1/4 mile) back to Playa del Sol. Paid $8 per head to get in. WELL WORTH IT. It included admission to their little zoo (the kids loved it because they had a crocodile). We rented a wave runner for $55.00 for 1/2 hr...my guys said it was well worth it. Bought food at the gazebo (which overlooks a very nice swimming pool the kids used). We had 4 cokes, chicken quesadillas and chips, guacamole and salsa, for about $10 bucks. The kids absolutely loved the water trampoline and iceberg. My hubby took one of the paddle boats (included with admission) and paddled the kids out to the trampoline and iceberg.
On the ship, I heard others stating they enjoyed the fury catamaran and snorkle and also heard good things about the Chakannab Park, which I believe you can do as a Disney excursion, or just take the taxi and pay the entry fee there.
By the way. We did not know this when we cruised, but there is a bulliten board of sorts when you get off the ship and get over to the taxi stand. It shows you the exact price it will cost you, each way, to wherever you wish to go. That way, you know exactly how much it will cost you to wherever you wish to go, with no surprises. Hope this info helps.
