Last December we reported that Kodak, after filing for bankruptcy, was ending their sponsorship agreement with the U.S. Disney theme parks as of December 31, 2012. Well, today, Nikon Inc. and Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts announced a multi-year strategic alliance naming Nikon the official camera of Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida and the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.

Poor Corey. :upsidedow

I guess it's cool to know that my photos will look better than Disney's now. :lmao:

Just kidding. It's all a matter of personal preference. For me, I learned on a Canon so that's the equipment I invested in and still trying to perfect. No need for me to be fluent in both. When doing side-by-side comparisons it really boils down the user behind the lens. If you don't know the settings that you're working with and are unable to frame shots, no brand will ever make you a professional out the box.

Funny but this made me think about all those times you show people one of your pictures and they say "wow that's great! what kind of camera are you using?". I'm sure they think they are complimenting us but really folks, its the artist behind the lens that makes a good picture.

The #1 camera used in the Magic Kingdom is iPhone. :rotfl:

To be honest, I'm with Corey on Cannon for my personal use.

I don't see what the big deal about who sponsor the photo spot. This year the Toronto Zoo started putting up signs from Cannon with some tips on them.

The Brawny Sponsorship changed my life :thumbsup2

Of course I am happy. :) Nikon has been the official camera for Photopass at WDW for quite a few years.

I agree with Corey and Jeff. The camera plays a part in the outcome of your photos but it is the person behind the lens that creates the image.

It isn't as simple as what brand of camera you have. You can have identical cameras but the images you get can vary widely depending on the experience of the photographer.

I used to use Canon in the film world but am very happy with my Nikons. Your success depends on how much time you want to put into learning your camera, and perfecting your skills.

Take the time to read your owners manual and you will be amazed what you can create with your camera.

... and remember if you want a better picture just step forward. :) :)

I have worked in the photo industry for over 30 years. I have always said the camera is a tool like a hammer. If you know how to use it will do the job, if it is a canon or Nikon. Each has its strengths and weaknesses.

Nice to see Nikon step up and fill the shoes that Kodak had there for so many years. So sorry to se Kodak not there.
