We had to adjust the dates of our upcoming Oct. trip because we are trying to see the Shuttle launch, currently scheduled for Oct. 8. Consequently we could not get the new days in a BW view room and the only 1 bedroom available was at SSR. I really do NOT like split stays, but, surprisingly, I am actually excited to be trying SSR! Maybe it's because we LOVED our first stay at HHI in May and I am thus more open to something new right now. I also think that my positive experience at HHI has made me less spastic about the new booking rules: If I don't get my beloved BW view 1 bedroom for Dec. 2009, there are certainly going to be fun alternatives to try. Bottom line, sometimes I need a kick in the butte to get me out of my rut and widen my horizons!

hey love all the DVC resorts!

if you like BW then ask to be at Congress Park - the closest to DTD.

otherwise springs or grandstand are nice.

I agree, trying new places is great! We're really getting out of our DVC rut and going to Kauai this Oct.

Good for you:thumbsup2 I think you'll love SSR.

I love trying them all.....it's what makes DVC so awesome:goodvibes

Only when I want WLV over holidays will I care....which is why I bought there....but other than that....I go where the availablity takes me:goodvibes

Here's some dust to help you in your quest for the launch liftoff. pixiedust: pixiedust: We tried to catch the launch in April, two days after the plans were made NASA had the temerity to change the date without our ok!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Therefore we had to spend all that time in the parks:goodvibes and laying around OKW and BCV!:rotfl: :rotfl: It was so....bad, I must have gained 8 pounds.:dance3:

Thanks for dust. I almost made it in March, but my girlfriend got sick and I didn't want to leave her alone in the room (it was a night launch). DH has had some medical issues and seeing a launch would be a dream come true for him, so I'll be needing that dust to make it happen. Hopefully NASA will be remembering to check with us, unlike their rude behavior to you!

We toured the Space Center last year and really enjoyed the day-They have something called "Have Lunch With An Astronaut"-it wasn't that expensive-I'm sorry I didn't know about it beforehand, I would've signed my husband up for it.

We stayed at SSR in Jan for the first time because it was the only available room. I was not looking forward to staying there as much as I usually look forward to the other resorts. However, I was pleasantly surprised and will gladly book at SSR again. I would recommend eating at the Turf Club, we really enjoyed a delicious meal there on the patio. Good luck seeing the shuttle!
