Exchanging credits or using for DS2

Has anyone ever had success exchanging a TS credit for snacks? Will it work with both adult and child credits?

Is MSB one of the places were people have had success exchanging their CS credits for snacks?

Trying to decide what to do with my CS credits (I don't like park CS much) and my kids' left over TS, who aren't big meal eaters in the first place.

Would I be able to (legally, I know no one will know who really eats the food) use their extra TS to get a few CS for DS2? Although he's not officially on the plan due to age, he is in the same room and we are allowed to share with him. This seems like a gray area and I'm not sure what Disney's stance on it is.

As long as you aren't ordering more meals than there are people on the plan at any given time you absolutely can order meals for your 2 year old.

A child's TS credit will give you 2 snacks. That's what I was told at Pop.

My niece had an extra one as I shared my TS meal with my niece one night.

If you don't like CS and you aren't even going to use all the child TS...is the dining plan a good option for your family?

Even if it is "free" dining, you may be able to get a better deal on the room/tickets without it and then use that money to pay for your food.

There's no fixed ratio for converting TS or CS credits to snacks. It is at the discretion of the CM you're asking. Also, in general, people have had better luck at resort food courts and stores than in the parks. I'm sorry, but I don't know what MSB is so I can't help you there.

I've never tried to convert credits but know some people have so always ask when you want to do it, I don't believe there's an official rule on it so it's however the CM at the register chooses to ring it up.

At MSB I've seen people there get 2 snacks (ex. 2 cupcakes) and a drink as a CS meal or 1 sandwich with 1 snack and drink as a CS meal.

You can order a meal for your DS2 using your credits, you just don't get/pay for extra credits for him. It's the same if you decide to eat a children's meal and use your child's credit for your own meal.
