I just remembered (duh) that I'm working on a crocheted afghan to give in our Yankee Christmas exchange. So I guess you could say that I've been thinking of Christmas for a month or more.
Seen as we have different shops over here I am sure you won't have heard of my favourites! For clothes I love Monsoon and Next. I love our local garden centre, Poddingtons as they do lovely plants, statues and water features and they sell Yankee candle. I also visit the Disney store quite a bit!!
I'm a day late (for this QOTD), and about $400 short already! YES, I'm INTO Christmas already - shopping, buying, free financing, picture cards done, etc.! I'm NOT looking forward to my new tree tho. The pic looked nice, but the WORK involved in fluffing every branch does NOT excite me! I usually LOVE my trees - all my past ones, anyway.
I don't really do costumes!! I did play the back end of a cow in a production of Jack and the Beanstalk a few years ago though. Does that count! I would post a picture but you can't tell it's me in it!!
I perminantly have a to do list on my laptop, actually I have 2, a work one and a home one. Right now my list is basically to prepare some materials for school that I will need to use in my lessons, to finish writing up the plan for my science lessons for the next term. Then at home I need to put the bedding on the bed in the spare room ready for my parents visit, put up a small bit of fencing in our garden to hide the pump for our waterfall, get all my Christmas shopping sorted and ordered and sort out my shoes in my wardrobe (that one might take a while!!)
About once a year my DH and I sit down and decide what we would like to do around the house. Most of the list gets done but some gets put on the back burner, depending on how much money the project cost. We've been talking about putting down hardwood floors, which is getting worked on right now. New plants around the pool. Painting on the upstairs level of our house. Get the house ready for winter and the holidays.
