I've done a salmon filet in foil, and have had good results on the BBQ with it. I've also done veggies of all kinds in foil as well. But what I've found is that you have to have a proper BBQ to cook it properly. Hubby acquired a large grill, and I find that things in foil need longer to cook, and never build up enough heat inside them to cook properly. Have a great day everyone!

Oops, I missed yesterday so I will answer 2!

1) The only thing I make for friends and family are cakes and cookies.

2) The only foil cooking I do is fish, I like to cook haddock seasoned with lemon and parsley.

Oh and my post count is high because 1) I am on here way too much! 2) I used to play the games and belonged to a clique thread that would post a lot 3) I post quite a bit on the DLRP chat threads and used to post advice on the DLRP board in general a lot. Oh and I have been a member for over 6 years and have planned 9 trips of various lengths in that time.

I cook with foil packets but I do it in the oven. I don't do it very often but when I do I do the following:

Hamburger pattie seasoned with pepper and worchester sauce cooked with onion, carrots and potatos.

Chicken breast (usually) seasoned with salt and pepper cooked with canned mushrooms, carrots, zuchinni and mushroom soup.

No, I haven't foil cooked. Of course we don't go camping, but we would like to and I would love to foil cook then!

Today is my daughter's birthday, so today's QOTD is birthday related.

QOTD-
What sort of gifts do you like to give as birthday presents?

I like to recieve experiences e.g. a trip to the theatre, a spa treatment etc.

Happy Birthday to your DD. :cake:

As for the question, it depends on who the person is as to what type of gift I give.

So, I had made 30 something cupcakes hoping to bring it to my daughter's class tomorrow. But, because of the new muffin pans being different then the one I had before, and the oven temperature or such not being correct-who knows :confused3, they burnt. So, I now have to have a plan B. We had done ice cream sundaes last year, so right now, I am planning on buying doughnuts, and we have Capri Suns-talk about sugar overload :rotfl2:. I will see what I do in the morning since I just pulled a muscle in my leg. So here is today's QOTD...which I have asked before in the past, which a few of you may remember.

What is your most favorite type of doughnut.

Hope your leg doesn't give you to much trouble, Patsy.

I like a cream filled powered doughnut.

Pulled muscles cause more trouble than we think. Hope it heals quickly!

I like the twists. They are the same as the regular glazed but I like them better.

Sorry to hear about your leg, Patsy! Hope that's better asap! :goodvibes

Donuts and CapriSuns! :hyper: At least they're at school and not at your house.

My fav are Krispy Creme donuts, but they seem to have closed most of the stores. I found a recipe...may have to try them on my own. The kids like to make donuts with refrigerator biscuits...they're not bad. I mix up van icing and jam for dipping.

I don't eat donuts anymore, but when I did, Bismarks are my favs.
Gooey custard inside, rich chocolate on top. Yum!!

We have Tim Hortons up here, but despite having many stores around me, seldom eat there, as their donuts are horrible. and frozen to boot:eek:. I do love Krispy Kreme, and we do have a store in the lower mainland, but it's in Delta, so when we are in the area, will stop in for 1 or 2. Have a great day everyone!

Trish:flower3:

I can't remember the last time I have a doughnut. But I guess my favourite would be the traditional sugar doughnut with strawberry jam in the middle.

I've never liked Krispy Kreme. Never thought they were all that good. Oh well, to each his own. I don't eat donuts very often any more but one sounds good right now.

Patsy, sorry to hear about your pulled muscle, hopefully your hopping around in no time.

My favorite doughnut is Boston Creme with chocolate icing on top

I love Dunkin Donuts chocolate with shredded coconut. Mmm...so good. Haven't had one in ages. :thumbsup2
