Do you go to your neighborhood park frequently?
I don't think that anyplace that I've lived since we've been married had a neighborhood park. When the kids were younger, I used to take them to a park but had to drive about 20 minutes to get there.

Now when I was a kid, there was a gigantic park, covered many acres within a mile of my home. Had all you needed, playground equipment, baseball fields, paths, woods, a creek, a pond, you name it. We used to run and play in that park. We never had any adult supervision, just ran around freely. You can't do that any more there. Perverts hang out there plus drug users. And it's not uncommon to find a condom here or there. Not in the public places but in the woods where, of course, a child would most like to play. It's still a great park but I would never let my children go there alone. But we don't live near there anymore.

Nope... After 5 years as a stay at home dad, I can say we have been to our neighborhood park less than 10 times, and our house backs up to it.
Our park is small and the playground is not very good. We drive all over town to go and play. Worse case scenario, we hit McDonalds Playscape or even *shudder* Chuck E Cheese's. Pretty sad, huh...

What is your most favorite type of breakfast meat?

Over here it's bacon or Lorne (square) sausage but on holiday anything goes! If you have never heard of Lorne sausage have a look here

Edit to add - we are getting an 8 month old Guide Dog puppy today - woohoo!

Do you watch the t.v. show Are You Smarter Then a Fifth Grader? There are different cateorgies, and they give you 5th grade questions. What three subjects would you be able to most likely answer correctly-(History, Science, Math, Geography,....)? Do you think YOU are smarter then a fifth grader?

Over here it's called, 'Are you smarter than a 10 year old?' We watch it on and off and I do not too bad but some of the things you learn you never need to remember. I would pick English, French and Geography. My DD's age 12 and 10 love the show and love it best when I squirm with no idea. :rotfl:

PS Ryan the pup arrived yesterday and we are so happy to have a furry friend with us again. He is doing really well but he has obviously been using grass to go 'busy, busy' so we will have to work hard to get him onto stones.

Is everyone in California okay from the earthquake? :wizard:

I didn't feel anything....:confused3 Where was it?

Also, about "are you smarted than a 5th grader?" I have that game on my phone. And sometimes I am, and sometimes I am not. :goodvibes When I watch the show I tend to know the answers and I am trying to get those silly people to answer it right...and they don't. Oh well...

If I was to pick 3 subjects I can answer....Math, Music, and Animal Science. I am always tempted to try out for that show but nervous at the same time.

Also, Sarah....sad to hear that you had to give back Kyle...but excited for your new PUP!!

I watch it from time to time if there is nothing else I want to watch on. Am I smarter than a 5th grader? It all depends on the 5th grader. :rotfl:

Have fun with your new puppy. I wish we could get a puppy, but we already have two dogs.

The earthquake was in the L.A. area. My friend who lives in Santa Monica said that she didn't even notice that it was an earthquake.

Totally :offtopic: ---

Today was bittersweet.
The plus side I got to see two former Comedy Warehouse/Adventurer Club performers.
The downside -- it was not in their former roles at CW/AC. (Was at an American Idol Experience preview.)

sigh... Those were the days my friend...

I sat through two shows. In one show Lisa was a judge (CW). The second show a judge was a CM who was often Samantha Sterling. (blond)

We do not watch AI. So my only reason to attend was to see past CW/AC cast.
The talent in the shows was exceptional and the shows were much better than I anticipated. All the judges did a great job. Although I am partial to CW/AC alumni.
I'm still be attending in the future to see past CW/AC though! It's nice to see them somewhere besides Youtube!

We know all to well what you mean. We have made a lot of special friends with CM's at WDW and when we do not get to see them in their regular roles anymore, it bummed us out. The good thing is that we have remained friends outside of WDW so it is almost better!!
