Exciting stuff this week? Well, the football team won again last night so we are scheduled for another playoff game probably next Friday. They played at Texas Stadium last night at 10:00 pm. The game was finally over around 12:30. It was definately a late night for us. But I was good to finally be able to see Texas Stadium before they tear it down. I had never been in before, just seen the outside in passing.

Loved seeing the pictures of you and other DISers, Nancy. Any more you can post? Is that France? Where were the others taken? You don't look very bundled up...I thought I read/heard that it was really cold while you were there? And you get to go back in January AGAIN? Ohhhhh, I'm sooooo envious!

I haven't loaded any of the other pictures.
It was hot the first week and then cooled down over last weekend.
The last 3 days.....this week, Mon, Tues, Wed. were cold!!

If you were having guests over for dinner, what would you serve them?
If you were to go to someone else's house for dinner, what would you not want to be served-Ex.Meatloaf....

The people we usually have over are family. Friends we prefer to go out to dinner with.

So, when family comes over we usually grill hamburgers or chicken. In the past though we have also done tacos and other mexican type food. If it's Thanksgiving, then it's the traditional dinner. We've had all sorts of different genres for Christmas.

I probably wouldn't like something really fancy or gourmet. I'm a plain Jane, down home cooking sort of person. I also wouldn't like the whole meal to be something unfamiliar that I've never eaten before. A couple of things, sure, I'll try them but not the whole meal.

No, I'm not ready for Christmas when it comes to buying gifts. I am ready though to head out. We're going to Chicago and I'm ready for a trip!!

Its been a busy week I haven't got over to this thread.

Lets see. I love Archivers and at the moment I do a lot of Gymboree for the little man.

Favorite store to shop in? Hmmm, I don't know but I've been to Wal Greens quite a bit lately. It's so easy to run in and out of.

My favorite local places to shop are Wal Greens, Bealls, Target and Kohls.

My top 3 stores are: Costco (a 3min walk from where we live and the prices are good), DollarSmart (a dollar store close to where we live that has really good, cheap stuff), and SaveOnFoods (I like their prices and the store that's nearby). All are within a 5 to 10 min drive from where we live, otherwise I tend to shop where I can the best prices on things. But we do tend to be loyal to the Sony Style store for our electronics, as we are loyal to the Sony brand, and have gotten good deals there over the years. Have a great day!!

Happy Black Friday!
I am about 1/2 ready for Christmas. DSs 13 and 12 are the hardest this year. I have a list of what I want to get those I haven't shopped for yet, but will wait til next week to finish. ALmost went this morning, but DS13 was sick all day yesterday. There are 25 or so people on our list. Never counted them all up before! That's not counting teachers.

I need to get out my tree today.

Sorry to hear that your son is sick. I have never gone Black Friday shopping before, but wanted to try it. My husband was the only one willing to come with me, but he said that he would not go if the kids were going to come with us. No one was going to watch the kids, so....I am here at home this morning.
As for my list of people...80 or more. But, I have 95% of the presents put together if not more.

80! Yikes! When do you start shopping? I've never gone either, but my friend and I were going to this year. Mike's doing better. One of the kids is always sick on Thanksgiving! (BEFORE I cook...so my food can't be blamed! )

I have to make cookies yet...haven't even started that!
