How many people do you have on your Christmas list to give gifts to? :santa: I had made my list, but it is growing almost each day. :scared1:
On my side of the family, since it's just my sister and I, we joint buy for our parents and buy something for each others kids (they are all older, Carol being the youngest at 17). We each have two but since my sister recently married and now has a step son whose eight, he will be included. My sister and I do not buy each other gifts. Instead we go out and purchase gifts for needy children/families.

On my husband's side, we have a Chinese Christmas exchange. It's called Yankee Trader by some. Gifts are new and cost around $20. It's fun to see what everyone comes up with. Last year's hot items were an Elvis lamp and scratch offs. I give the greats a Hallmark ornament but don't know how many more years I will. The ornaments are getting expensive and the number of greats are growing in number.

Just a rough thread. It was my fault, I guess... I asked for opinions on how we were handeling my daughters' Kindergarten and I got lit up. I should have checked out a couple of other threads and noticed that there seem to be a fair number of people who only enjoy making other people feel bad. Oh well, lesson learned.

I knew I loved the sub-threads for a reason. :grouphug:

Was that the one where you said your child was already reading--and one lady told you to mind your own business? Stay here with us! :goodvibes

And personally, DS11 was reading chapter books in kgarten. As long as you have a good teacher, they will be happy to keep your child interested...it's in their best interest, too! Nate came home the first week with a book that had 3 words on a page. I just emailed his teacher, and she borrowed some from older classrooms and gave him his own basket of books to choose from.

Yea, some people are just RUDE! That is why I hang here most of the time if I am not drooling on the Restaurant reviews....:rotfl2:

Don't let them get to you....WE LOVE YOU HERE!! :grouphug:

I've been trolling the cake thread! I had no idea you could order all sorts of goodies when you're there--and we're always there over our anniversary. The Zebra cake from AKL is looking like the winner so far!

When you were in school, where did you go to for field trips/excursions?

We went with the gifted program, but I don't remember there being a big field trip every year. Here, they go on a field trip every year, but it's different even within the 4 elementary schools in our district. They took my kgartener to WalMart at his old school! :rotfl2: How sad is that????

The school we're in now (redistricting) takes them to the Hershey museum/zoo in K.

Not sure what will happen soon--district $ is being cut all over, and our PTA can only pick up so much.

What type of wrist watch do you have? Do you use it daily?

No watch for me!! :thumbsup2 I do not like the feeling of a watch on my wrist. I depend on the cell phone for a clock. But...I do forget I have it and still search for somebody to tell me what time it is. :rotfl2:

I also don't wear a watch normally, and haven't for the past 2 or 3 years. Lately I've been needing to wear one, as I've had some appointments for the kids that I've needed to keep track of the time. Otherwise I find that my inner time keeping tends to work well enough that I don't need to wear one. I also hate the feel of a watch on my wrist, however there are times where I don't have a choice but to wear one.

If you were to learn one magic trick, which would it be?

The trick that lets me make money out of thin air....because I am really good at it disappearing....:rolleyes1

See, that's what I get for going AWOL for a couple of days... people steal my answers :rotfl: :rotfl:

Well, if I can't have money appear, I would love to be able to pull winning lottery tickets out of my hat... :woohoo:

Are you a day time or night time person?

I used to be a night time person, but this whole Kindergarten thing is changing that... Who knew that clocks outside of Disney World had 6:00 on them? :confused3

Are you a day time or night time person?
Definitely night! It's the time when the house is quiet and I get a few minutes to myself.

Are you a photogenic person?

*Feel free to post a picture of yourself :).

I'm not going to be the first! :goodvibes But I'm usually taking the pics.
Inlaws are coming today for the weekend, and the cameras will be out. I'll get one of me with the boys while they're here.

I don't think I am photogenic, but I don't care :)
