I don't use anything on my hair, other than dying it occasionally when I get tired of all the grey hairs. Kids will do that to you.

I do not use anything in my hair. I had gotten my hair permed twice, lets say three times. The first time, the hair stylist burnt my hair since she didn't know what she was doing. Since that was the first time I had done something to my hair, I didn't know what to do. So she said to come back in so that she could redo it. Big mistake again. Then after over a year, I had gone to get my hair done, and they said that my hair is ruined for life because of the mistake that was first made by the other hair dresser. So even now till this day, when I blow dry my hair and as it gets hot, I am able to smell like a weird chemical smell in my hair. :sad1::mad::sad2:

My daughter like to get her hair made. My parents bought her this crimper styling thing for Christmas, but it either doesn't work or I am doing it wrong. We bought her a curling iron for Valentine's Day, and I made her hair last night, and today for school. She enjoys the bounce, and different look to her hair. I am not a fan of hairspray, especially if it has a scent to it. :sad2:

I don't use hairspray at all. I will sometimes use flat iron spray to protect my hair. And I do use this oily stuff on the ends of my hair, its called hair glass, that makes it smooth and not frizzy. Thats about it though! My hair is long and straight so I don't really need hairspray

I am trying to find more songs to download onto my daughter's Ipod. So todays QOTD is-

What songs do you currently like?

I am not much of a fan of today's music. I like the oldies, and now that John got me Sirius radio for the house, i can listen to it all i want.

I listen to talk radio so I don't hear music all that often. I like songs that have a catchy beat or lyrics. I like a lot of the songs that they do on Glee. I also like a lot of Disney movie music. And oldies too!
Country and Western can also be added to the mix.

Lately I find myself heading towards listening to classical music, as I've grown tired of the Dance and the Country stations I keep flipping back and forth. So I'm going to start listening to classical music, which is my first love, and get back to listening to it.

I had to move a pile of things in the rec room this morning to make room for the free pinball machine we are recieving in the next 2 to 3 weeks. Our friend is moving, and doesn't have any room for it in the new place. It's in need of restoring, so am saving the money to have it restored by the end of the year. There's a place in Vancouver that does pinball restoration that does excellent work, so will contact them once we have it to make arrangements to have the work done on it. It's an older machine, but is a nice match to the early 80's one that we currently own. And the playing field is in mint condition. So we'll see how it goes. At least now I made room for it. Like old iron (old pick up trucks), we hate to see older pinball machines sold for scrap or demo'd, and like to see them restored to their former glory.

I'm doing good, how about you?

I took my mom grocery shopping this morning. I tell you, some things are definately higher than last time. Bird see alone went up 30 cents.

I have hair cut scheduled at 2:00 and then I think I'll get my car washed.

BELLEDOZER-sounds like fun once you have it in working condition.

Kirby, doing okay. A bit under the weather with a slight cold, but trying to get as many things done as I can. I am trying to work in my garden daily even if it is just for a bit. It has been raining off, and on, so the weeds are coming out . I am at a crafting slump :(. But I did make a bookmarker for my daughter since she wanted one. The prices of things are going up here as well, especially the price of gas. :sad2:

Sorry i missed yesterday afternoons qotd, i was with my sister and niece.

Yes i am a member of facebook, no i don't play any of the games.

I'm not a member of Facebook, and have no desire to be. I guess I'm not much of a social butterfly, and would rather chat on these boards than anywhere else. But have alot of friends that are on Facebook. I love pinball machines, but our Panthera pinball that we had restored last year takes up alot of room, so you have to have the room to put them as they tend to take up alot more space than you average video game. I've got an Nintendo DS, but find the Panthera we had restored to be much more of a physical challenge. and is totally unforgiving if you mess up:laughing:. The prices for basic staples have gone up here as well, and am glad that I ordered a bunch of large food hampers that I pay off on a monthly basis, then get the food at the end of Nov this year, in time for Christmas. Although DH is going to kill me, as he doesn't realize how many hampers I bought:rolleyes1.

Hi everyone! Patsy, sorry to hear you're in a crafting slump. I think that sometimes by taking a break from something, you have the opportunity to come back to it with a fresh perspective and new ideas.

I am on Facebook, but don't play any of the games.

It seems like prices here are going up as well. Just filling up the car with gas seems to cost a small fortune. I went to buy some fruit last week, and the price for strawberries was crazy!
