The way I view it, is just when you think that you are having a bad day, someone out there is having a worse day than you. Case in point...last night after discovering fruit flies in my office thanks to the kids leaving a bowl of berries for the flies to hatch in, found that my office was being invaded by ants! DH got a bunch of bug killer, and we had to partially dismantle my office to get to those creepy crawlies. Had to spray the foundation in front of my office where they were getting in, as well as my office. Then DS 6 decided to slice his finger open this afternoon. I took one look at it and decided that it was too nasty for me to put butterfly bandages on it, so off to emergency to have some stitches put in it we go. Lucky my mom was home to look after DS7. 1 1/2 hrs later the doc glued the cut shut with glue. Was told that he's still OK for the swimming lessons I've got booked for him and his brother. The ants seem to be on the run, but the fruit flies are an going issue, but may be making progress on it. I rest my case. Have a great day everyone!

There are some people out there that has a certain body part insured. Ex. Tina Turner has her legs insured. So if you were to pick a body part, what would you have insured, and for how much?

Well my family likes when I give back massages, so I would insure my hands. Not sure for how much.

So today was not a good afternoon. Not feeling appreciated, over doing things and exhausting myself, stressed..... so today's QOTD is-

What sort of things would you do for a friend who is having a bad day?

Sorry you had such a bad day!!! Thanks though for all you do for us here on DISboards!!!!
I find most people just need someone to listen-my best friend has problems with being down during the summer months-we would take the kids to the pool and just talk, or she would talk and I would listen and comment when needed.

Nope never afraid to fly, its still safter then traveling in a car.

I don't like to fly. I don't like heights and being that far up in the air gives me the willies. :scared1: Xanax helps though. I'm also claustrophobic which doesn't help.

DH and I flew to Cozumel less than 1 month after 9/11 and never had any problems except with the flight being delayed by 12 hrs, etc, etc, etc. Our entire honeymoon was a comedy of errors, and I'll leave it at that. I'm flying to LAX in Oct for a visit to the mouse solo, and don't have a problem flying at all. DH is making multiple trips to Maryland for union training over the next 2 1/2 months, and we both feel safe flying. I find for short flights like I'm taking to LAX in Oct, it takes longer to get your bags checked, go through customs, and security than to actually fly to my destination.

My daughter thought of todays QOTD-

When you were a child, what was your most favorite toy?

My favorite toy were my two Cabage Patch Kids ~ Willie and Virginia. I used to take them everywhere with me. BTW, they are still around. I gave them to my DD. She doesn't take as much care of them as I did but she still loves them. Actually, I almost cried when I came out of the room the other day and found Willie sitting in my DS's high chair. DD was taking really good care of him and prepping a pretend lunch for him just like I used to do. :cutie:

With all of the plane crashes, and accidents does it make you afraid to fly?

No, living in England the only way to get to WDW is to fly! We tend to fly long haul every year so it doesn't bother me. Next year we are going to Australia, a 27 hour flight!!!!

Favourite toy as a child? Probably my big Sindy doll house with all the accessories, stable and caridges. Oh and the family train set!!

Isn't that funny, I am terrified of heights (won't even stand on a kitchen chair) but I love to fly.

My favorite toy, was my doll that you could feed(mixed powder with water)and give a bottle to and then you had to change her diaper. (Can not remember the name though)

My favorite toy as a child was probably my bicycle. I rode everywhere on it. My mom would have probably been upset if she knew how far away from the house I used to ride.

My favorite toy was my Cabbage Patch kid (I had several, but only one favorite). Her name is Minnie Ellen, and I still have her. DD likes her, but has other dolls she prefers, so I keep Minnie Ellen for myself!

Oh yes.

I remember getting in trouble once for leaving the yard when my mom had told me not to, whooh. Mom rarely spanked, but she sure did that day.

Of course we lived right next to a very busy road and I was 7 or 8 and had taken my year and a half younger sister with me.

We used to ride for miles. I look back over the route we used to take and there is no way I would have let my kids do that!
