Our power had gone off for about 20 minutes tonight, so my QOTD is-

It all depends on the time of year here. In winter, we would build a fire in the fireplace if it were real cold outside. In summer, we would crack open windows and then maybe leave and go somewhere else depending upon the temperature outside.

What are some pet peeves that you have of other drivers?

My pet peeves are: Drivers that don't signal, then cut right in front of the nose of your vehicle, people who don't stop at stop signs, people who expect you to yield, when you have the right of way, etc, etc, etc. Can't you tell I live in Richmond, BC??? I live in the largest China town in North America, enough said. Have a great day!

What are some pet peeves that you have of other drivers?

My biggest pet peeve is when I am at an intersection waiting to turn right and someone in a big vehicle pulls up in the left lane and blocks my view to oncoming traffic instead of sitting back a little. I drive a Dodge Caravan so I don't have a little car but large SUVs and trucks sit higher than mine and I can't see over them but they can definately see over me.

Another is people talking on cell phones not paying attention to what they are doing and where they are going.

We had the same problem with people talking and texting while driving, and our province solved that problem by banning them unless you have a hands free device while driving. But I still see people determined to talk on their cell phones without the hands free device all the time. I guess some people are tied to their phones literally.

What would you suggest for someone who has a cold to do to recover?

Plenty of rest.

warm noodle soup and a cup of hot tea, followed by a relaxing time spent on the couch reading a book.

I was hoping that my cold would be better today, but it is not. It is bedtime soon, and I am dreading it since I have a hard time sleeping since I get so congested .

My all time fav pie is one that I created, which is an Apple/Pear crumble pie. My second choice would be pecan pie. Have a great day!

It is a tie between Coconut cream...and Pecan Pie!! YUM! Makes me wants some RIGHT NOW!!

Currently frozen lemon merangue followed closed by buttermilk.

Susan, I have never tried frozen lemon meringue. Do you just take a regular pie, and freeze it?

How often does your car get washed? Do you wash it at home, or go to a car wash?

Not often enough but we usually wash it at home - dh does a great job with it!

My van get's washed in the spring, fall, and whenever it turns from Green to Grey with grime. DH usually is the one to wash it, but the odd time will put it through the local car wash.
