Today is the first day back to school for my daughter . Yes our kids are one of the first if not the first to start their summer vacation early, but that also means that they go back to school first as well.

So, what sort of traditions did you have when you were going to school? First day of school, picture taking day, last day of school.....? Do you have any traditions for your kids?

Today is the first day back to school for my daughter . Yes our kids are one of the first if not the first to start their summer vacation early, but that also means that they go back to school first as well.

So, what sort of traditions did you have when you were going to school? First day of school, picture taking day, last day of school.....? Do you have any traditions for your kids?

My two oldest are in college... Now that my youngest is 16, all we do is coordinate morning schedules so we can both get out of the house on time. She starts back on the 8th. When she was little I'd take pictures and make a big deal out of the first day of school, to make it exciting for her as she was always a little shy. Those days are just a memory now. Enjoy every minute of yours!

Had a hard night last night. I used to be a morning person, and slept at a decent time, but now I usually sleep around midnight. Last night as I was falling asleep, DH woke me up, then I checked on DS, and he had a fever. We gave him medicine, and luckily he is better now, but will need to keep a close eye on him. Made DD our traditional first day of school puppy/dog pancake, and took a picture. She was excited to go back to school. Next thing, is going to my son's assessment in a couple of hours.
