A Hershey's chocolate bar with peanut butter smeared on it. Much better than a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup, at least I think so.

Butter cookies

Coke with peanuts

banana flavored Laffy Taffy

Fritos

ohh yeah. :thumbsup2

When I was a kid, we used to ride our bikes through the neighborhood looking for coke bottles to trade in. We'd take what we found and go up to the gas station at the end of our street to trade in the coke bottles for cash. Then we either buy a coke and a bag of salted peanuts to put in it or a bunch of the banana flavored Laffy Taffy with a coke. I can taste it now........

How many of you have heard of li hi mui? It is sometimes spelt li hing mui.... It is a preserved salted plum, part of the Chinese culture, but a local favorite in Hawaii. They now have the li hi mui powder where you can sprinkle it onto fruits....I even added some to my mango nectar drink, and enjoyed it.

From you area, what are some local items that people enjoy?

I have not heard of it Patsy.

Scrapple
Fasnacht
Hershey chocolate
Tastykake
Peeps
Snyder's of Hanover (pretzels)

I haven't hear of li hi mui either. Wonder if it could be found in one of the Chinese grocery stores?

I guess things that people would come here for would be true Tex Mex, tamales, Dr. Pepper. That's off the top of my head.

Susan, I am sure you would be able to find it in a Chinese or maybe an Asian grocery store.

I am putting together an ice cream sundae bar again, but this time for my son's birthday party. I currently have-nuts, whip cream, rainbow sprinkles, chocolate sprinkles, cherries, M&Ms, strawberry syrup, chocolate syrup, and caramel syrup.

What else can I add to it if any :rotfl:?

Jessica,

I voted for Carribean Beach. I stayed there in 1996 and loved the island theme. I also liked the little beaches along the lake/pond. Just seemed so romantic to me.

I've never stayed at the Polynesian but that seems romantic to me also.

Port Orleans French Quarter - small and compact, much more quiet and intimate.

Of course for our 25th this past May i choose BLT, but you would need to borrow DVC points to stay there.
