Mine would be with frozen coconut, mango and peach with skim milk, then a little grape sugar for sweetness. I can't help it, I've got to eat healthy these days!
Today QOTD is a bit different. It is a challenge. Maybe you already have it, maybe you will have to look in a cookbook, or even on the internet.
I have a carton of half and half. I do not eat alfredo, and do not drink. So, other then using the half and half for those type of dishes/drinks, what else can I use half and half for? Oh, and DH already mentioned about homemade whipped cream, but I don't see him making it for me.
Make homemade caramel with it?? And pour it over some rich desert, such as cheese cake. I don't have my caramel recipe on hand, but I think it was made with half and half. Will have to check the recipe to see if it does.
That's where Joe and I are thinking about going this year. He has a cousin that lives in one of the suburbs. We're thinking about spending a couple of days with them and then a couple of days on the Strip.
I think that I would like to stay in the Mirage or Ceasers Palace. I've heard the Bellagio is really nice but a little pricey for me.
I'd like to see the free stuff, maybe take in a show, explore some of the really nice hotels, maybe do a couple of slot machines (I've never done that before) and just walk around. This would be our one and only trip just to say we have been there.
Love Las Vegas.
We have stayed at Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Treasure Island, Sahara and Circus Circus.
I would like to try Paris or New York, New York....but will probably stay in the Fremont District next trip (hopefully Oct)...maybe the Golden Nugget.
Love the shows.....the Cirque Shows in particular. Want to see Ka next.
We have done all the free things.
Love the shopping too. There is a Disney Outlet
Dining is good too. Some of our favorites are there....Cheesecake Factory, House of Blues, Margaritaville, Rainforest Cafe.
We've toured all the resorts....except the ones built since we have been. The strip changes a LOT fairly quickly.
I only play the low slots. And not too much of that.
We enjoying visiting Las Vegas. We have family, and friends there, so it is nice to see all of them. But with all of them there, we seem to always be visiting, and doing things with them more then we plan to. So our time is cut short usually, but we usually stay there for a week or week and a half.
Three things I like or would like to do.
*SHOP!
*To see a show. During all of the trips, except our first one, we had our kids, so it was hard to go to one, so maybe one day.
*Eat at the buffets. I can't remember which ones I have been to, but there is such an assortment of foods.
The times I went, I always got a Minnie Strawberry Bar from one of the ice cream carts. The last time we went (gee, eight years ago) the Strawberry Bar wasn't as good. It was harder with more ice and less strawberries. Don't know what they're like now or even if they have them anymore.
We'd probably go visit our friend that just moved to Virginia Beach. There we would bike ride, walk the beach, eat seafood, ....... But closer to home, we're going shopping this next week, she wants to find an area rug for the wood floors she recently had installed.
