Hi All,
We have a Festiva Adventure Club membership and we have a large amount of points for next year that we won't normally have because of signing bonuses. We exchange through RTX travel. I have found the DVC charts online where I could rent them so I have seen what the currency rate would be... but here is where I get confused.
Example: A DVC resort could be 240 points for the week and the currency exchange for that is $14 a point. Well, in Festiva I have 10,600 points... so obviously, that is not on the same system as a DVC resort. But, since Festiva is a small company compared to others, there is no exchange rate calculator out there to tell me what I am looking at. I was hoping that one of you might have some other timeshare like me that has a comparative point system and could help me figure out if I have enough points for a DVC.
Some more information that might help find a comparative timeshare: We get 3600 points every two years for a maintenance fee of around $750. We got 6600 points for signing bonuses. I would call my exchange company, but we haven't paid our maintenance fee yet and if I ask them to do a search for me, I have to be prepared to book it within 24 hours of them finding it.
Hope I haven't made this more confusing than I needed to and I hope one of you can help. Thanks!
