Exceptions for Shipping Merchandise Home

We were hoping to ship all of our merchandise home, but learned that the shops will not ship (1) the Mr Toad popcorn buckets (or presumably any popcorn bucket) even if pristine/unused, or (2) items purchased from the Germany pavilion's Christmas Shop (because it was a third party shop, not a Disney shop). We hadn't heard a whiff of this on disboards - is this common knowledge or did we just not go to the right place to get it done?

Correct. No popcorn buckets - and, in general, nothing from the carts (although that’s kind of vague since you can buy some of the same things in the stores that are sold on the carts). I’ve also heard no bubble wands even if never filled, but I’ve had no first hand experience with those. It’s also true nothing from any third party stores, which includes a lot (most?) of WS. You can always ask when you’re checking out at a store, and if they’re able to ship, then you should also be able to ship from your hotel gift shop (given you have the receipts).

When I used this service in February for art from the festival, they scanned my receipts so that they can replace anything that goes missing or gets damaged. Therefore, I don't know if anything from the Character Warehouse would qualify, though I can't say for sure.

Unless it's changed, they won't ship any food items, even things that are prepackaged.

Items such as popcorn buckets and souvie mugs that are sold in restaurants and food vending carts are part of food services and not merchandising so stores will not ship them because they aren't in their inventory.

Third party vendors often do their own shipping. We've shipped from Arribas Bros several times.

I went to a UPS store in Celebration to mail a popcorn bucket to @FoxC63 back in 2018. If you have a car, then you could go there to mail things back.
