Exactly when do you pay for parking?

I'm wondering exactly when you have to pay for parking? We're going next month with DS2. We're staying with family offsite, and my aunt offered to come over and get DS and take him back for a break in the afternoon if we needed her to. Would she be able to get in the parking lot just long enough to get him? I'm also wondering about Hollywood Studios in particular....I'm considering letting my parents take him to Sea World for the day while we go to HS, but I know he would really like the Disney Jr. show (although probably not much else). Is there a place where they could drop him off in the late afternoon/early evening, without having to pay parking, and we could take him in the park just long enough to see the one show?

Thanks!

If you Google 'Disney Hollywood Studios Guest Drop Off,' you'll come up with a few answers which say to tell the Toll Booth CM that you are dropping someone off, and they will send you in the direction of where Guest Drop Off is. Then as you get closer to the spot, you will probably encounter another parking lot CM, and you can explain to them what you're doing. This is no charge.

If you're not sure of the exact time you'll be meeting up, I might suggest that you meet at the Hess Service Station across the street from the main DHS entrance on Buena Vista Drive. You can park there and wait for your family's arrival. Then it's very easy to re-cross Buena Vista Dr at the signal light and return to DHS with your child. Since you paid once for parking that day, just show the Toll Booth CM your parking receipt, and there will be no further charge for re-entering a Disney lot on the same day.

You can also Google for Guest Drop Off at the other parks. I know the drop off for MK is a small lot on Seven Seas Drive, between the TTC and the Poly resort, and there's a road sign at the entry.

for this situation I would use guest drop off area in the parking lot areas

That's great! Thank you :)
