Exactly what do you say to the CM when you order?

Do you begin by telling them which dining plan you are on?

If I want to order three quick service meals and use my credits, and I also want to pay OOP for something, do I specifically state that when I order?

Or do I just order whatever I want and present my card as payment - and they will automatically remove the QS credit?

I sure don't want to hold up the line :)

For TS, they will ask as soon as they come over if you are using the dining plan and if so, which one. Then they will usually tell you what your options are based on that.

For QS, they will probably say "Dining plan today?" or something before you order. It flows pretty easily, don't worry.:)

For QS-I always told them before I ordered that I had the dining plan & I was thanked many times for doing it that way.
I've found that the people who hold up the line longest are the ones that get in line THEN decide at the register what they want to order-instead of looking at the menu & getting their order ready before they get to the register :confused3

Thanks. This is QuickService dining plan only. And you know I have to worry about something ;)

I was more concerned about ordering an extra side of something that I wanted to pay OOP for. I DID NOT want to use a snack credit for that additional item and didn't want the CM to automatically use a credit for it.

I'd order the extra item 1st & pay separate before telling them you want your meals on the dining plan.

We also do it in 2 separate transactions. Order everything on the dining plan and have our KTTW card swiped. Then let the cashier know we also want to order additional items and pay for them OOP. We figure there's less chance of confusion or error if we keep things separate.
