Ew, head lice problem!

My best friend recently found out her sister has headlice. I don't want to sleep over her house and I don't want to hang out with her, but she IS my best friend. What should she do? She has no idea how long her sister has had them, and I'm guessing that the entire family has headlice. Do you know any good successful treatments that don't cost a lot? I want to recommend some stuff to her. (She's freaking out STILL...but then again so would I if I had.) This whole situation has us going EW, EW, EW, EW!

Rit is usually used for headlice. She will have to wash her bedding and deep clean the house.
