Everything You Do, CELEBRATE YOU! - Polynesian - Club Level - TPV

Always a well planned trip when you account for pool time, IMO! Plus the poly pool looks great! On my last trip the gate to the pool was always slightly ajar so we never had to fiddle around with the magicband scanners which sounds like a good thing!

Those beautiful 5 minute wait times make staying up to late in the Magic Kingdom worth it! Plus, sometimes it's just so relaxing to be able to wander through the shops yourself and not have anyone waiting on you!

Your trip reports are absolutely brilliant. I laugh, oooh, and ahhh, the entire time! :D :D :D

Haha, thank you! You should maybe lower your expectations for the rest though, because we were there for 2 weeks so we end up doing a lot of the same stuff, so it might get a bit samey  But I hope I can still deliver! :thumbsup2 Thanks for reading!
Hello again! I'm so enjoying your TR! All caught up!popcorn::

Hello! Yay for enjoyment, it makes me happy that it makes you happy :teeth: Thanks for reading!

Can I first get this out of the way...

I noticed you didn't know what a corndog was?!?!:faint::eek::faint::eek: I feel like when you come to Disneyland (soon please!) can I please be the person to buy you your first corn dog?! Cause you MUST have it at the Little Red Wagon!

Giirrrrl I will absolutely take you up on that offer.. if it means you'll come meet me in Disneyland :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 My friend and I were talking about visiting California / Arizona / Nevada some time, we're keeping an eye out for some cheap flights :hyper: Soooooooo maybe see you at Little Red Wagon within the next 12 months :hyper:  But seriously, from what I've now been told about corn dogs, I'm eager to try one :scratchin

But technically carbs help us survive and the last I checked, surviving is pretty healthy, so eat on!

Omg, this is such a good justification, I LOLed :rotfl: stealing this for my new mantra.

It took me, a good 30 seconds to figure out where he was :lmao: It was kind of like one of those 'When you see it' pics, I was all scared and anxious cause I couldn't find him right away!

whenuseeit-com_87_1350183601-jpg.161632

Bahaha, terrifying!

NO FREAKING WAY?!?! I've never heard of that saying either but what a jerk! Clearly he's jealous that he can't have a bod like yours!

According to a couple of other posters it's not that rude, and I don't get overly offended by anything anyway, we just laughed about it. But the wiki page does say that it implies living off someone else's money.. which is presumptuous and rude! but according to others it's maybe open to interpretation. Or maybe I just look high school aged :cutie:

Also, seeing an old man with my bod would be... interesting

Thank goodness someone else feels the same as me! I can deal with leaves and things that may float naturally into the pool, but hair?! :scared::scared: Ugh that's so gross.

Hair in the pool is the WORST! And I'm probably a total hypocrite because my hair is definitely not exempt from malting :rotfl:But still, EW EW EW. When you feel it touch your leg or something, ugh I want to BARF :crazy2: :rotfl2:

The fact that today's 19 year olds weren't alive when Space Jam was released makes me feel old. And I'm only 24! :crutches:I need to watch it again, it was my faaaavourite. I was obsessed with Lola Bunny!

giphy.gif

Good grief that's a long time. The hostess at the Kona Cafe for our 2015 trip, told us she started working when the Contemporary first opened!

Hopefully this means Disney treats their employees really good, although I've heard mixed reports :scratchin

Yachstman is my favorite Signature, easily!

It's definitely up there for us too! I love California Grill too though. And this year we're trying some new signatures (Narcoossee's, Jiko, and Artist Point!) which I'm real excited about :hyper: We got free dining so I went a bit crazy :upsidedow

:rotfl2::rotfl: This needs to be a thing.

It is now! Soooo, you have two kidneys, so it's like, double the love? Anyone?! OK BYE.

Even though the Food & Wine desserts would have been nice, nothing beats free dessert back at 'home'!

Everything tastes better when it's free, and when you didn't have to cook it yourself :thumbsup2

So I just officially became a grown up this past Christmas (DM had bought a brand new pre-lit tree that she used once but didn't like it because it was too small so she gave it to me :hyper:) and I was able to put all my ornaments on it, including the one in the pic! And you bet your hiney I bought some more ornaments this past trip to put on for Christmas this year! ::yes::

Sweeeeet! Do you have a picture of your Disney tree?! I need inspiration :teeth:

I wonder what they would have done if you had actually waited there and you were still the only one...:rotfl2:

I'm pretty sure I went two more times, once on my own and once with Jamie, and there weren't enough people and a CM came in like (politely) "we can't do the show with less than 20 people.. So you can wait longer orrrrr..." I mean, I get it, but you think they'd at least let the kids meet Belle no? She's there waiting... and we're here waiting... :confused3

Very cool shot!

Thanks friend!

Sideways sleeper?!?

Yes! We love staying in hotels with two beds

tumblr_n2u4i8mswi1svhcpuo1_500.gif

My exact face

That's the saddest sentence on the planet. :(

I know! Hopefully they were just running low and it's back to normal now :thumbsup2

This has got to become a thing!

It is now!!!!! Having two kidneys = double the love?! I'm grasping here

Great updates!

Thank you!

It is? Wow. It's Tuesday evening here.
Weird how those time zones work.

You're so odd :rotfl:

Yes I do.
Provided you're back on the other side of the pond.

DON'T REMIND ME

You did?
You should've stomped your foot and demanded he accompany you.
Preferably just before it looks like a goal might be scored.

To drag Jamie away from football means he just stares at his phone and ignores you the whole time :sad2:

 "How does can she eat so much??"

HE WAS SO BAFFLED HE COULDN'T STRING A COHERANT SENTENCE TOGETHER!!!!! :rotfl:

It's a safety feature.
If no one can access the pool, then they don't have to worry about any one drowning.

Problem solved!!

No, no, no!
I presume since he was in the pool area that he was a guest there?
If it was me, I might've said the same thing.
It means "Isn't this great? Don't you wish we could live like this all the time?"
It is a bit presumptuous however, since it implies that you don't live like that year round.
So if you were a rich snob, you might be offended that someone would think you don't live the life of luxury all the time and might <gasp!> have to work for a living!

Another way of saying "(This is) the life of Riley" would be to say "This is the life!"
It's a good thing.
You'd say it if you were happy.

Ok, I'll take your word for it :thumbsup2 I don't get offended easily, we just laughed at this (as you can see in the message!) - that was just the wikipedia definition, and it was the "living off someone else's money" thing that I meant was presumptuous! But I believe you that it may have other interpretations. He seemed friendly with no ill-intentions so it's fine, just a funny anecdote! :teeth:

If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a noise?
I don't know.
But if a leaf falls in a pool, does Katie bolt for her room?
Yes.

I absolutely do. EW.

 Did he mess them up a bit too, so they'd look used?

Nope! They definitely knew his game

"My dear, it's obvious you're in love. You're positively glowing."

stickman2.gif

So you were walking around with your skirt glowing?

Thankfully you can switch them off, but even if you couldn't I'd still take it :teeth:

::yes:: Finally saw it (as you know) for the first time and fell in love too.

Maybe we can all meet there IN SEPTEMBER :hyper: (read: Not October, I leave on Sept 21st :thumbsup2 )

You kidney it?
I swear I thought that before I read any further.

Great minds think alike pkondzi :goodvibes

What? What are they doing?

No idea! At least the bog has plenty of room to do whatever they're doing.

grape-lady-falls-o.gif

You gave me a shout out! Awww! Thanks!!

No problem! I thought about you when I was there watching the divers, and decided to throw in a little Dis throwback :thumbsup2

The boy's quick. I'll give him that.
I bet he could catch a fly with chopsticks.

It registers your reaction time in 100ths of a second so I've no idea how he did this?! He showed me 0.00 seconds and I was convinced he'd rigged it

Okay... what does Christmas smell like?

Come to my house for Christmas this year and I will bombard you with every Christmas-scented Yankee Candle known to man :worship:

Should've gotten it. It'd look cute on you, I'd think.
(disclaimer. being a man, I have no fashion sense... at all.)

I wonder how cute it would look on me when I'm also wearing this face after forking over $40 for it..

lmXMdU4.gif

Now that is an absolutely brilliant photo!
Did you spot that on your own? Or had you seen this before?
It's the first time I've seen that.

pkondz, if we were strangers, I would just nod and laugh along. But I think we're friends enough for me to say, I have no idea what you're talking about :rotfl2: Did I spot what?! Have I seen what before?! Are you being sarcastic / purposefully odd ?! You lost me, dear! :rotfl:

Isn't that queue terrific?
Might be the best queue in MK.

Definitely!! They did a great job :goodvibes

But why not go at the end of the night just before you went back to the hotel?

Because I'd just washed my hair before The Yachtsman, and the Splash Mountain frizz would mean I'd have to wash it again before heading out in the morning :sad2: And my British not-accustomed-to-this-ridiculous-humidity hair takes a loooong time to maintain in Florida  You'll notice, maybe starting the next day, that I just gave up on it completely and I wore it in a side braid for the rest of the trip

I remember when the Main Street Cinema was an actual Cinema that showed really old cartoons.
(Think black and white, no audio.)

They do still play cartoons in there, if it's any consolation! :goodvibes

All tuckered out from.... from.... WHY IS HE SLEEPING?!?!?

giphy.gif

You're so odd :rotfl:

::yes::

DON'T REMIND ME

Sorry about that...

To drag Jamie away from football means he just stares at his phone and ignores you the whole time :sad2:

So entertaining!
Next time take him with you, sit him down somewhere and then tell people he's sad and misses his mum and needs a hug.

HE WAS SO BAFFLED HE COULDN'T STRING A COHERANT SENTENCE TOGETHER!!!!! :rotfl:

:lmao: That's what happens when you comment in the middle of the night!

:teeth:

I could easily see myself using that expression if I was in a particularly good mood.
Honest.

Still one of the best costumes ever.

Maybe we can all meet there IN SEPTEMBER :hyper: (read: Not October, I leave on Sept 21st :thumbsup2 )

I'll keep it in mind.
I haven't looked if leave is even available then....
Hang on, going to look now...

Oh. My. God.
You're not going to believe this.
We have a book where anytime someone puts in a leave request form, the supervisor fills it in so others can see what dates are open and what dates are used (we can only get approval for one person to be gone at a time.)
I looked and... shoot. A bunch of leave is already used up at the end of September.
And then I looked again...

Some of it's mine.
I totally forgot.
I booked off from the 15th to the 23rd (inclusive. And could stretch it to the 25th.)

Hmmmmm......

So. You guys (well, I suppose Hymie doesn't know me, so, you) would like to meet?

Have you seen the video? With audio?
I seriously crack up laughing every time I hear it... and then feel so guilty for laughing!

No problem! I thought about you when I was there watching the divers, and decided to throw in a little Dis throwback :thumbsup2

:goodvibes

Come to my house for Christmas this year and I will bombard you with every Christmas-scented Yankee Candle known to man :worship:

I've been invited to Katie's house for Christmas!!

No?

I wonder how cute it would look on me when I'm also wearing this face after forking over $40 for it..

lmXMdU4.gif

Get Jamie to buy it for you.
Problem solved.

pkondz, if we were strangers, I would just nod and laugh along. But I think we're friends enough for me to say, I have no idea what you're talking about :rotfl2: Did I spot what?! Have I seen what before?! Are you being sarcastic / purposefully odd ?! You lost me, dear! :rotfl:

This photo!

25122975354_b4e85f4b79_b.jpg

I'm serious. I think it's a terrific picture.
Probably one of the better ones I've seen on the boards in a long time.
That's why I wanted to know if you'd seen that on your own, or if you copied someone else's shot.

I shall be on the lookout for any and all side braid pictures.

They do still play cartoons in there, if it's any consolation! :goodvibes

Phew! There are some things that should be left the way they are.

We were flying Premium Economy, so we had priority boarding.
And more importantly,
Unlimited free alcohol.

Hi Katie,

I love your trip reports and remembered that you've flown Premium Economy a couple of times now. As this will be mine and my partners first time going to Florida on our own (I'm 24 years old and feel physically ill worrying about EVERYTHING haha), I was looking at flying premium economy instead of economy as Manchester-Orlando is a longgggg flight. Would you recommend it?

I've seen some of the extras that Premium economy has and sounds great, I would just love a personal opinion so then I can get booking :)

Thank you in advance

Hi Katie

I am really late to the party. I have been reading from the start over the last couple of weeks and was going to wait until I'd read everything to comment but do you know what I'm just going to comment even though I've only got to Wednesday 23rd September 2015 Part 3. I know - thug life!

I loved your Disneyland Paris report. I have not been there. My Mum and Dad took my DD when she was 4 and didn't take me! I was unselfish and let them be the ones who gave my daughter her first Disney experience. I've made up for it by taking DD and her brother to WDW 5 times.

As a fellow Brit who has flown on Virgin I totally got what your mini Fab ice lolly was. Kinda cute!

What a fantastic view from your Poly balcony! I love the water pageant - when we stayed at Wilderness Lodge I used to run out on the balcony when I heard the music. It is so old school Disney!

I love the Welcome Show. You know you have arrived when you hear the music. In fact I sing it all year round.

s this video starts you can hear that Jamie is singing "show me your bone", because that's what he likes to believe the lyrics are.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that sings on rides. I have just recently added my first day at Magic Kingdom to my trip report and the alternative lyrics my DS and I sing on Splash Mountain. "Doo be doo, show us your b*m! I always get told off for being a bad influence!

Enjoying the trip report.

Recently back from WDW. Remember when we talked about the Starring Rolls cupcakes, in your previous trip report? I finally made it to Starring Rolls while they were open, but they had only the red velvet and raspberry cupcakes, and I would have tried a different flavor, so instead I got the banana custard, which was also amazing.

My friend and I were talking about visiting California / Arizona / Nevada some time, we're keeping an eye out for some cheap flights :hyper:
If you and your friend visit Arizona then maybe I can meet you two there for dinner some evening.

I love your report! It's my favourite! You're so funny, and it's nice to see another British person! I laughed so hard when you said about a Yorkshire themed hotel! :rotfl:
I love all your pictures, I can't wait to read more!

Love your report. It's so refreshing to see what a great day trip you had at Universal/IOA. We're going for a day during a so called "not busy" time and I was concerned that it wouldn't be worth it. You guys did so much by 4:30. Did you buy the extra express pass?

Hi Katie, I'm Molly! :wave:So late to the party here!! But I've been lurking on both TRs and I think they are fabulous! . I have had so much fun reading through them! I also have a quick question as well. I saw that when you stayed at the GF, you had a room in Big Pine Key! Did you like that location?? Thinking of requesting there when my mom and I go in September. Thanks, girl!! Excitedly awaiting a new update :)

Hi Katie! Random lurker coming out of hiding to say thanks for your amazingly detailed TRs and, more importantly, for your consistent use of Arrested Development gifs. (Because what good are awesome Disney pictures/commentary without a side of Lucille Bluth??) :thumbsup2
Looking forward to the next update!

We didn't fly in. They quit doing direct flights out of our city a few years ago. We decided by the time we drive 2-3 hours to catch a flight, deal with security, magical express etc.. We would be better off to drive. We drive from as north in Alabama as you can get (not sure how familiar you are with the states). We made it in exactly 10 hours with only 2 stops. With our gas being so cheap last September it made much better sense to drive.

Considering the size of the US, a 10 hour drive sounds pretty good! And you're basically right next door?! That's a funny concept to me, if you drive for 10 hours in the UK you'll almost definitely end up in the ocean

I am hoping construction will be done by then but who knows with Disney:confused3

What a nightmare they're having right now! Seems like everything is going wrong for them :sad2:

I had a dream I ate here the other night. Maybe your TR is a sign I need to book it for this trip. It was so nice Bev remembered y'all!

Definitely a sign!! Go go go!
hahaha I mean come on EMH at MK are the BEST EVER!!!!:tigger: It's crazy reading your TR knowing we were there at the same time but had two totally different experiences. And to think of all the thousands of other people who were there too. Just kind of puts into perspective how big and how much Disney really has to offer. We were at MK this night for EMH. Being the responsible/grown up 20 something women we were we did the obvious...We met Anna and Elsa. Really though I was not about to wait in a 90 min line to meet characters, but 10 mins at 11:30 pm...okay why not.

This is why I love EMH! And people say to avoid it? I find it can be busy to start with, but near the end it can be totally empty!

I wanted to do this sooo badly but I wondered how it worked if you didn't have kiddos in tow. Didn't know if I would feel awkward or not:confused3

Nooo not awkward at all! Maybe it's a bit weird if everybody in your scene is an adult?! The story-telling and language are very much aimed at kids. But it's a lot of fun otherwise! In fact, spoiler alert!!! Jamie got picked to be a guard in the story!!! It was really funny, I was sat on the benches by myself cracking up!

I actually bought the Haunted Mansion Dooney Tote. I ended up selling it a few months ago. It was too big and just not practical. I am thinking about purchasing a pouchette (I think that is the style) this next trip.

Sounds good! Yeah I'd really like to wear one at Disney but I probably wouldn't use it back home. All that money for something I'd only use for a couple of weeks a year wouldn't be worth it for me!

Can't wait to read more!:thumbsup2

Thank for reading!!

What? No Men in Black? No 5,6,7,8?

Classics! Maybe I should make requests to the DJ this year :thumbsup2

Well the Wilderness Lodge renovation is already underway - should be finished in 2017....

Let's hope! Are they renovating the rooms though? I like the Wilderness Lodge rooms fine but they don't blow me away like some of the newer designs. I do like the WL DVC rooms though! As soon as they do the regular WL rooms I'll be planning another trip :lovestruc

I have the same plan but $20 a decoration is pretty steep (and it's even worse when you factor in the Australian dollar!)

Right?! I couldn't bring myself to spend that on an ornament. If I did, it would probably have to be something I can keep out all year round :thumbsup2 UGH I'm so cheap.

Thanks for reading!

Katie,

Let start by saying I love to read your trip reports they are the best and most entertaining reports I have ever read..you have talent. My oldest daughter will be graduating from Oklahoma Christian University on April 29th. She has always wanted to see the Eifel tower so I asked her if she would like to go and see it as part of her graduation celebration, She thought for about 30 seconds and said “ I would really like to go back to Disney World…. So we are heading back to the world May 8th. I do have a question for you. If you could pick just one dining experience at Disney World what would your choice be? Cinderella’s Castel is of course already booked for the entire 10 days. Oh and don’t tell Jamie but we are HUGE Chelsea fans in my home, One day I will make it across the pond and see them play, I have seen them play here but I’m sure it’s not the same.

Thanks for a suggestion,

Scott

Hi Scott! Thanks so much, you're too kind :goodvibes Congratulations to your daughter for graduating! And your trip to WDW is so soon now! Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. One dining experience is such a tough question, obviously depends on your personal preferences blah blah blah. In terms of a regular meal, Jamie and I both agree, we both love dinner at Boma and Whispering Canyon Cafe. I think I prefer Whispering Canyon. We sat in this quiet little back room that joins on to the craziness in the main room. The decor is very elegant back there, there are just a few tables and a big fireplace and it's dimly lit. But the food, oh boy, I can't believe I don't hear more about it. Maybe the antics distract people from really appreciating the food? :confused3 But it was REALLY good. If you're a meat eater, it's a great choice!!! We got the all-you-care-to-enjoy skillet, it was SO tasty. We've booked TWO dinners there this year! Our favourite "special occasion" meal is California Grill, we had an amazing time there this year too!

Haha, well we had a bet on Leicester to win the league, and the other day Chelsea made us win!!! So Jamie thinks more highly of Chelsea now, so I'm sure you can be friends

So I had a million ques from your post, and my internet crashed. So unfortunately I'll just sum it up.

Dang newfangled interwebs

I wish I could avoid the parks on weekends. Our trips usually aren't long enough, so I try to squeeze every ounce of park time out of it!

I'd do the same! It's even difficult for me to take a pool day when we're there for 2 weeks :rotfl:

That guy at the pool?!
98hisw.gif

Haha, tell me about it Stephanie!! I have been reassured that it's not always a bad saying. Although the wiki definition does imply "living off someone else's money" - which is presumptuous at best!

You're young and pretty, and he's just jealous.

Oww you're too kind!

The yachtsman is a BEAUTIFUL resort. I really hope to be able to stay there sometime in the future.

Me too! I hope the rooms get a refurb like the Beach Club soon. Then it would definitely be a contender for my favourite resort :lovestruc

Maybe instead of a spy, Jamie should be a ninja. Those reflexes are incredible!

Hahah that guy is seriously good at EVERYTHING. If you ever want to feel bad about yourself, spend some time with Jamie :rotfl:

Thanks for reading!

I am so upset.
I came here going "man, haven't heard from Katie in a while, let me go check on her TR."
Only to find out, I never replied to your last update.
But I honestly thought I had. Like was 100% sure I had replied.
But I did not.
Because what happened is...I have lost my mind.
That's the only logical explanation!
So...yeah.
I love you sister wife friend and loved your updates even though I never replied to them

Hope you're well! Can't wait to read more! And this time I will respond...and not just in my mind :rolleyes1

Working at a University does have its highs and lows. After 6 months I get 50% tuition... BONUS. I also get 10% off University merchandise LOL!!! I wouldn't mind the same on Disney merch when I go.

Sweet!

I'll have to look that up. I can tell you that males 18 to 24 pay more in insurance premiums per month than females in the same age range due to a higher risk. While I know many safe and responsible female drivers I have been cut off more often by female drivers who did not indicate their intention to change lanes.

We had the same system, but then they changed it because it was classed as discrimination :sad2:  Oh tell me about it, whenever my girl friends and I are cut off we do the whole "OH! It's a woman! What a surprise!" act :rotfl:but I'll play fair, I've almost been run off the road by a young man overtaking me when it wasn't clear up ahead! :sad2:

Yeah, I don't mind a late start a few days during the trip but most days I am go go go until I drop. That isn't always okay with my better half. But I couldn't ask for a better Disney companion. I'll find out what it will be like with a baby this November. I might write a TR about it. We shall see.

Yes write a TR! :hyper: And be sure to let me know if you do :goodvibes

Loving your TR!! Did they refurbish the whole Peter Pan ride, or just the queue area? Last time I was there was 2012, but we are booked to go back the end of September. The last time we rode, I was a little bummed, because it badly needed a rehab, and it's one of my favorites! Hoping they did a little more painting or something to the inside ride as well, but I am so excited to see the makeover though, your video of it looks awesome! Thanks!!

Hey! Thank you!! Hmm I'm not sure about the ride, it always looks pretty rickety to me! I didn't notice to be honest. But the new line itself is well worth seeing! Eeek September is just around the corner now! Hope you have lots of great plans :goodvibes

So, here is what happened.

I just read through your replies for your last update and was waiting to see your respose to mine, and there wasn't any! Which made me sad!
But then I noticed my message hadn't posted!!

I totally remember writing it, especially my obsevation about your dislike of wood in your sausage..:rolleyes1
So it turns out you weren't ignoring me, I was ignoring you! :scared1:

But I wasn't really, can we still be friends???

Oh boy! Well maybe you can hang out with me at Disney and we'll call it quits :beach::beach:

tumblr_m3802v6SQQ1qadi39o4_250.gif

Okay. Now that that weird ramble is over....

tumblr_mj41q5OTn71s7o8swo1_500.gif

I can totally imagine you wearing that vest too :lmao:

But who want to watch football (we are English-it's football ) in Disney?! Or at all...:rolleyes1

UGH I know. But the key to a happy Hymie is to just let him take a couple of hours to do his thing.. It's all for the greater good..

aFhWSah.gif

giphy.gif

Yes, he maybe be healthy, but is he happy?

tumblr_nzgjkj3fm51udh5n8o1_400.gif

Hahaha nope that's definitely me when I get my free bagels and muffins. Screw your eggs!!!

That is some view!

I can't wait till September!! :hyper:

4 months!!!!! Omg girl this warm weather we've had this weekend has made me SO excited!!!

Well they need to keep the riff raff out somehow! :rotfl:

This is so politically incorrect and I LOVE IT. :rotfl:

I LOVED Space Jam when I was little!!

Who didn't!!! Apparently they're making a Space Jam 2.. not sure how I feel about that, it'll have nothing on the original!

Oh la la! Don't you do clean up real nice! princess: <----That is just Jamie btw! :rotfl:

Thanks friend!!!

THAT LOOKS SOOOOO GOOOOOOODDDDD!!!! *drool* And so fancy!!

8bf8de0b4c1e73588a9c0bc203d41661.jpg_zps3ardmgqq.gif

You will see in FOUR MONTHS!

Pure class! :rotfl:

On an unrelated note I think we might be related!

200.gif

Oh of course! Although you are a Geordie.. so obviously..

remember-keep-classy.gif

:rotfl: Just kiddinggggg!!! Sheff is probably worse

Also, I think it was you that sent me this gif and it's still one of my favourite things ever

tumblr_nsgs1samuN1snn83co1_500.gif

Bahahahah :rotfl2:

Yes!!! That was why I picked the BC! :beach:

I may need to sneak into your room... Just to see the new design of course :thumbsup2  they look amaaaazing :lovestruc

Guys! How did you get to Paris????

Any dream is posssssibllle

Why isn't MK open till 1am this September???

I hope they extend the hours!! Last year they were changing right up until, like, the week before. Even on the odd night, they extended the hours and put out signs saying "MK will be open until [whatever]" So you never know! :upsidedow

But you could have just done all the parts!! :rotfl:

tumblr_loxrr74iaF1qjgyuwo1_500.gif

RIGHT?! They underestimate my enthusiasm.

Goodnight Katie

Thanks for reading my love!

:sad2: And here I thought you loved me @BibbitybobityLu.

Your betrayal stabs me in the heart.
Maybe even more than once.

Excuse me,
I need to go cry.

LU LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE YOU MONSTER.

Don't take offense to someone saying you're living the "life of Riley". It originated from the Irish community in the US in the early 1900's (No...I wasn't there to start it!) and in addition to meaning an easy or pampered life, it also means a blessed life or one with good fortune. I'm sure he meant the latter!

This is good to know!! I takes a lot to offend me, we were only joking around with this  The definition Jamie sent me was from Wiki, and it was just the "living off someone else's money" thing that I found presumptuous (but funny!) But it's good to know there's a better definition :goodvibes Thanks!

I can relate. DW can't keep up with me either! You can sleep when you get back home!

Great TR...looking forward to more!

Exactly!!! In 2014 I was going to go see the MK welcome show on our last morning, but I decided to sleep in instead... I regret that SO much when I got home! :sad2:

Thanks so much! :goodvibes

We HAD to take advantage of the Poly pool! Especially since we visited the Poly for dinner the year before and the place was such a mess, we had to see what all the fuss was about  And you're lucky you didn't have to deal with those magic band scanners! They are not a friend to the average human. It takes a special kind of sorcery to get through :rotfl:

YES I actually don't mind heading off to the parks on my own, especially since Jamie hates shopping so much, I always feel like I'm dragging him through the shops. And I will never complain about having to navigate around small children whilst browsing the displays

So entertaining!
Next time take him with you, sit him down somewhere and then tell people he's sad and misses his mum and needs a hug.

:rotfl2:

:lmao: That's what happens when you comment in the middle of the night!

Haha, I'm teasing you pkondzi. Sometimes I read my own comments back and wonder what on earth I was on when I wrote that  also, my S key is a bit broken o unle I hit it really hard my comment ound ridiculou.

Whhaaaaat @BibbitybobityLu are you hearing this??! Well I'll be there until the 21st so OF COURSE if you happen to be there we'd have to do something!

Have you seen the video? With audio?
I seriously crack up laughing every time I hear it... and then feel so guilty for laughing!

YES! Hahahhaha OW OW OW OWWWWOWWOWWW :rotfl2:

This photo!

I'm serious. I think it's a terrific picture.
Probably one of the better ones I've seen on the boards in a long time.
That's why I wanted to know if you'd seen that on your own, or if you copied someone else's shot.

Well thank you!! :cutie: No I hadn't copied it, I was just exploring and snapping my way around Fantasyland! I'm very happy you appreciate it :goodvibes

Hey! Thanks so much! :goodvibes

I would absolutely recommend Premium Economy from Manchester - Orlando with Virgin! The only downside is you'll struggle to go back to flying economy  it's lush, especially if it's just the two of you. We love having two big seats (bigger than economy) together by the window, rather than being in a three with a stranger  sounds antisocial, but it's such a long flight it's nice to just keep to yourselves, you know?! Also premium economy pays for itself in alcohol! You can ask for as much as you like (within reason), the stewards provide exceptional service too, always super friendly and happy to help :goodvibes meals are better and lots of snack offerings, more entertainment than economy (I think) and priority boarding, all great! Leaving the plane first is a treat too because the line at immigration gets HUGE.. If you're last off the plane you're in for a lonnnng wait, so that's nice not to worry about! We always make great time between landing and getting to the Magical Express. We've done Premium on three trips to Orlando, both there and back, and we're booked in again in September. I honestly have nothing bad to say about it :goodvibes It really gets your holiday off to a special start!!! Let me know if you decide to go for it! :goodvibes

Hi Katie

I am really late to the party. I have been reading from the start over the last couple of weeks and was going to wait until I'd read everything to comment but do you know what I'm just going to comment even though I've only got to Wednesday 23rd September 2015 Part 3. I know - thug life!

Hey! No problem, there's plenty more to cover (since I'm too busy/lazy to update!) so in the grand scheme of things, you're not that late :thumbsup2

I loved your Disneyland Paris report. I have not been there. My Mum and Dad took my DD when she was 4 and didn't take me! I was unselfish and let them be the ones who gave my daughter her first Disney experience. I've made up for it by taking DD and her brother to WDW 5 times.

Thank you! I already love looking back at that report :goodvibes Haha oh no! If I had a daughter my mum wouldn't dare to take her and not me, she knows she would see my wrath for sure! :rotfl: That's nice that you've been able to take them to WDW though :goodvibes

As a fellow Brit who has flown on Virgin I totally got what your mini Fab ice lolly was. Kinda cute!

I've just clicked on your avi details and see you're from Scotland? I'm half Scottish, yay! I was just in Edinburgh last week, it's one of my favourite cities in the UK :goodvibes ANYWAY. I'm glad you appreciate the Fab lolly, I don't even know if Americans use the term "ice lolly" so maybe no one knows what I'm talking about

What a fantastic view from your Poly balcony! I love the water pageant - when we stayed at Wilderness Lodge I used to run out on the balcony when I heard the music. It is so old school Disney!

I miss that view soooo much  it's still surreal to me that we actually stayed in that room. Ooh that's cool that you've stayed at the Wilderness Lodge. I've never stayed there, but I'm about to sing it's praises in a future update! We had the greatest experience at Whispering Canyon Cafe and exploring the resort, I absolutely fell in love with it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that sings on rides. I have just recently added my first day at Magic Kingdom to my trip report and the alternative lyrics my DS and I sing on Splash Mountain. "Doo be doo, show us your b*m! I always get told off for being a bad influence!

Hahaha, it's funny, I had a few people say they also sing "alternate" lyrics on Splash Mountain :lmao: I'm glad we're not the only ones!

Enjoying the trip report.

Thanks so much for reading!

I do remember! Well that's a shame they didn't have any, I hope they haven't stopped doing them :confused3 but I'm glad you enjoyed the banana custard, I LOVE banana flavoured goodness, so maybe I'll try that one this year!

If you and your friend visit Arizona then maybe I can meet you two there for dinner some evening.

Awesome! We don't have any specific plans yet, we're just playing with ideas, but I'll let you know for sure! :goodvibes

I love your report! It's my favourite! You're so funny, and it's nice to see another British person! I laughed so hard when you said about a Yorkshire themed hotel! :rotfl:
I love all your pictures, I can't wait to read more!

Aww thanks Rachel!! But I can't believe you said you love my pictures, when YOURS are so amazing! Compared to yours, mine look like they were taken by a 5 year old :rotfl2: Hahah, but thank so much!

Love your report. It's so refreshing to see what a great day trip you had at Universal/IOA. We're going for a day during a so called "not busy" time and I was concerned that it wouldn't be worth it. You guys did so much by 4:30. Did you buy the extra express pass?

Hey, thank you! We absolutely LOVE Universal :lovestruc We didn't get the Express Pass on that day, but we did later on in the trip, but both visits were fine. If you haven't pre-purchased the express pass, I think it's worth going into the park and checking out the wait times, and assessing the crowds from there. Then if you want to, you can buy the express pass right there in the shops. That's what we did :goodvibes

Hi Molly!

Aww thanks so much!! I'm really glad you're enjoying both reports :goodvibes Yep yep yep, we loved Big Pine Key! It's a great location, no effort at all to get to the main building :goodvibes although I don't really think any of the buildings are particularly "bad", I'm sure you'll have a great time wherever you end up! I'm jealous, I have SUCH great memories of staying at the Grand! It's definitely the most special resort I've stayed at, I hope you have an amazingggg time princess: princess: princess:

More Katie more!

Soon Tim soon!!!! Very soon!! Like maybe right now :thumbsup2

Hey! Thank you! Glad you're enjoying it :goodvibes Also, I love your username  And thank you for appreciating the genius that is Lucille Bluth  she might be my favourite fictional character ever on TV :rotfl: New updates coming up! :goodvibes

Oh darling you know there is no place for distress on this trip report :rotfl: there are no rules here!!! Just come and go as you please, no need to apologise sister wife  I hope you loved Vegas too!!! Mini TR please! :hyper:

Katie's got my back! :snooty:

Yes I do.

Pkondz this will be the 17th message on this page. I have 5 updates to post. You know how much it upsets me to split my updates on two pages. Please send help.

Or just send me a riddle or something to help fill out this page.

Maybe I should beg for trip report attention in a private message, but I really have no shame.

Haha, I'm teasing you pkondzi. Sometimes I read my own comments back and wonder what on earth I was on when I wrote that

 I hear that!

also, my S key is a bit broken o unle I hit it really hard my comment ound ridiculou.

I get that too.
For whatever reason, the 'puters at work slow down and can't keep up with my typing.
(Not that I'm all that fast, but still...)

Whhaaaaat @BibbitybobityLu are you hearing this??! Well I'll be there until the 21st so OF COURSE if you happen to be there we'd have to do something!

Don't get too excited.
I still have to find out what's happening with Kay, first.

YES! Hahahhaha OW OW OW OWWWWOWWOWWW :rotfl2:

Yes! :lmao: That cracks me up every time!

Well thank you!! :cutie: No I hadn't copied it, I was just exploring and snapping my way around Fantasyland! I'm very happy you appreciate it :goodvibes

Okay. In all seriousness... that's the best BOG picture I've ever seen. Period.
