I woke up again naturally at 6:10am!
I got ready and went out on the balcony to see the sunrise over the Contemporary

My goodness - breathtaking!

And the actual show was visible so it’s fine.
I was just glad we arrived in time!

This is something I still have to see - and have been dying to! Definitely on my must do list!

Gahh I can’t believe it had been over a year since I’d seen this glorious castle!

The first time I see it every trip is so specialAlways takes my breath away.

Buzz is probably thinking "Oh no, not these two again, they steal all the celebrate 999,999 points buttons!"

He was pretty horrified by our scores as we left the FIRST room..!!

We didn’t come close to 999,999, but this wasn’t bad for our first game of the trip!!

Ok, I totally see your point. I guess they could have thought of a better way to showcase Ariel in front of her ride. Maybe they are implying that technically she is "under the sea" because when you walk into the ride you technically are. And if she is "under the sea" then she is swimming, since she is still in mermaid form, and she is leading the ship!
That is my best shot at it!

We exited the ride and I showed Jamie the hidden Steamboat Willie in the rocks!
It took him a while to be able to see it, but when he did it blew his mind!!!

It’s pretty hard to see, and you need to be stood in a very specific place for it to work because it’s comprised of several rocks in the foreground and background.

WOW. I had never heard anything about this before, but the next time I'm there, I will definitely look in person. From your picture, I think I can kind of see it, but it seems like it would be better in person.

We continued on to our next destination, but first we stopped at the Tangled area to find some hidden Pascals.

This is also something that I forgot exists! Next time when I'm in the area, I'll have to look for the little guy!

We had fun on the Haunted Mansion, I like singing Grim Grinning Ghosts,

Oh yes, I always do the same! Sing Alongs on rides in Disney is a must!

Next up, we headed to Adventureland!
Jamie was really keen to ride the world famous…

Hate to sy it but I have never been on the Jungle Cruise before, something I must try...some people say it can be very corny, but honestly I think that's what makes it so fun!

We’d been in the park just over 2 hours, and we’d managed to do Buzz x2, The Little Mermaid, Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise and Big Thunder!
And we still had plenty more Magic Kingdom fun ahead of us

Success!

Then I noticed a very rare Disney sighting.
There was nobody by the Partners statue!
I had to get a picture because I don’t think this has ever happened before in the history of everything.

That is very rare! Great picture - pure happiness in one photo

After our grand circle tour of Tomorrowland we walked back to the hub, and Dream Along With Mickey way on!!!
(But seriously, when is this show NOT on?!)

YUM! When I read that line I said to myself "I know what Katie ordered!

We both had the turkey sandwich, we are obsessed with it.
I really don’t think we will ever try anything different.
It's so delicious!

Jamie is super competitive, and last year we were always competing to max out our score (999,999).
He was pretty horrified by our scores as we left the FIRST room..!!

I tried to project this encouragement onto Jamie, but he was too busy giving me his usual response to losing…

I think the animatronics are amazing in this ride, especially Eric and Ariel in the lagoon scene.

She does not look into this at all! Rejected!

Today I decided that this ride is far too scary for little kids.
Am I alone in this?!

No you are so not alone in this. I remeber the first time I was going to go on HM I must have been like 4 or 5 and we got to nearly the front of the line (it was really busy and we had been waiting for fourty minutes) and then I freaked out and made my mum leave the line...all the way back the way we just came! I didnt actually get the nerve to go on until I was like 9 and then I had my eyes shut the whole time!

I wasn't scared

You could always use both, like this: "We parked our lorry/truck in the car park/parking lot and walked through the subway/underpass to the pub/bar where we ordered some chips/fries." Maybe a bit awkward, though.

Yep September is our month!!!

September seems less crowded and less expensive, but the one time I went in September, a hurricane kept everyone in their hotel for a whole day while the parks were all closed and it wasn't safe to be outdoors. Glad your September trips have gone well.

Do you have any plans to go to Disney?

Yes! Going to WDW April 8-21, including a family reunion and some solo time and looking to meet up with a few Dis'ers at various times. Also planning to go again this fall, tentative dates Oct. 29-Nov. 9.

Jamie’s competitiveness doesn’t stop at the ride itself.
In the photo/gift shop area after the ride, I always like to get a photo in the cage with Zurg.
Jamie has never been able to fit through the bars, but because he’s THAT competitive, he HAS to try.

After Thunder Mountain we moseyed into the hub whilst we decided what to do next.
We went to see the new grass area, and it was totally empty!
It felt like our own VIP area.

This is EXACTLY what I plan on doing next trip!! Have myself a nice little rest in the hub!! Because I am all about that #hubgrasslife
