I know we are wimps for not riding Kali. It didn't even matter about the weather because it was so hot but I don't know..it just wasn't in the cards I guess lol. I was willing to take the bus back to avoid riding it. I guess I over-road it when I worked there haha? Or maybe bc I would hear horror stories in breakrooms hehe. We have ridden it almost every trip except Dec 08 (too cold! and it was not running). We typically do the whole, "kali is the last ride before we leave for the resort". We have gotten some awesome "wet" photopass pics infront of TOL when leaving the park lol.

I just wanted to write and say I hope all of your weeks are going well so far, yay for hump day!!!

I don't have time to post as American Idol is about to come on and I'm attempting to study for my Praxis test but....


I MIGHT BE GOING TO WDW FOR A SHORT WEEKEND TRIP MARCH 18-21!!!!

I had a dream about WDW last night and for some reason it just inspired me to go on my CM site and check out any CM discounts. I found:


-60% off resort for travel before 3/27
and...

the DDP for $25.99 or QS DDP for $15.99...

So I priced it out and found POP for $50 the first night and $56 the last 2 nights..how could I pass this up!? I'm already off on my bday- 3/19 and Dbro is still doing online master's classes. I have 2 park hopper tickets left and 2 water park tickets left so what could possibly hold us back?!!!

FLIGHTS

Try $300+ for a flight and not so great times either I realize it's spring break but dangggg!!!!

Dm and Dd do not know of our "maybe" quick vay-cay so we shall see. Dbro says he does not mind paying more for the flight when we are getting the resort and food at a steal and free tickets so we shall see!!

Hi Dis!!! I hope everyone up north is starting to dig out from all this silly snow!! Here in Cincy we are seeing more green grass than the white stuff which makes me very

So I want to throw this out here and get some input from everyone. As I mentioned in my last post, there is a possibility of my Dbro and I going to WDW for a quick weekend trip in March-18-22 over my bday...I'm not losing sleep over it but here's where I'm at, at this point.

Flights are going to be around $250-300 or Dd has a BOGO from Delta we might be able to use. The room would be $238 total at POP for 4 days and 1/2 off the DDP. We have free park/water park tix so that is free. Pretty much it's a steal of a trip. Dbro is applying for the CP at the end of March. He got in last year but because he did not make good life choices on NYE in 2009 and had a "record"..I don't go into anymore detail, use your imagination but he was accepted and told he could not come until the record was cleared so now he is reapplying in March for the fall/fall advantage (leaving in May/June or Aug) and it would be a nice thing for us to do before he leaves.

On the other hand...Dm already took off work for my birthday and I have a dr appt scheduled in Pittsburgh on the 19th that wouldn't be an issue changing but I'm also taking my praxis on the 13th again and I feel like there is too much going on with that to deal with work, studying, and trying to plan a WDW trip in 18 days--just think of the Dining nightmares!! I also feel bad that Dm took off work to spend the day with me and now I'm suddenly trying to fly away.

so..WHAT WOULD YOU DO?! As a mom or friend to me, what would you do if you were me?!!!!!!

NOW FOR THE TRIP REPORT!!!!!!!!

12/13/09-Sun

When we left off, we were heading back to WL for some pool time before heading to MVMCP at 4pm

Like I said, Mousekeeping had not arrived yet and so Dbro was heading to study somewhere and the 3 of us were heading to the pool. We were seated at the pool longer than 5 mins when Dd walks over and says come ride the "mouse boats" with me. As a CM I get 1/2 off the disney boats so I agreed that I would go for a 1/2 hour, Dd said an hr and we compromised on 45 mins. We went up and paid and got our boats. Mine flew across the lake as Dd's was decent I guess. After 45 mins we headed back and were only charged for a 1/2 hour
After a quick dip and 1/2 hour laying at the pool, we shower, changed and were on our way to MK!!!

We met 2 cute little older couples that were on the bus with us. We asked if they were going to MVMCP and said no they were just exploring the MK resorts. They were so nice and friendly!!

We got our tix and wristbands and headed inside. We decided to ride some things first and for the life of me, I can't remember what we did lol. For dinner, Dd and I ate at Pecos Bills and Dm and Dbro went to Caseys! By 6-something it was time for the castle lighting!!!!

We headed to ride some TM rides after that and get our first cookie and hot cocoa of the night..except for the fact that it was still 80 some degrees and we opted for apples and juice instead!! Before we knew it, it was time for HOLIDAY WISHES!!!

Out of all the specialty Wishes fw's, Pirates and Princess Party ones are still my ultimate favorite and I miss them!!!

After that we decided to get another snack of cookies and cocoa this time and find a spot for the parade!!!

Tough call on March Trip

After reading how hectic it all will be planning and that your mom took the day off to spend with you, I think I would skip out on the March Trip.

Since your brother is going into CP Program, why not wait until later in the year and take a trip to see him. What jobs is he trying to get into there?

Talk about stressed haha. I called my Dm shortly after posting my update and she insisted on Dbro and I going on the trip assuming I can get off on 3/22 from work.

I asked if she minded if we went even though she is off and said she didn't care and would drive down if Dbro and I fly together from Dayton or Cincy and hang out with Dd for the weekend. She has Kindergarten registration on 3/22 and with her knee therapy she is unable to go.

Dbro and I have been through some rocky times together in the past few years from him not making good life choices when it comes to alcohol to our disliking of one of his "ex" gfs. Dm thinks this would be a great trip for us to reconnect together before he potentially moves down there.

So I guess as of now: 2/28 at 10:44pm..I have flight info written down and plan to check with work on the 22nd and go from there. My college roomie will be there with her finance 3/15-3/19 so I will get to see her too for a day!

We shall see..haha. I was thinking of writing a TR in the hopes that it would all work out but I don't wanna jump the gun too quickly!

MVMCP
Parade

When we left off, the parade was just about to begin!!

I was lucky enough as a CM to get to see the parade for the first time in 2008 for a midnight CM preview. It was the most magical experience for me since I've wanted to see this in person since I was little. I didn't even have my camera and I've seen it several times since then and never forgot my camera again!

The rest of the princess pics did not turn out so magical so we will FF to the rest of the parade!!

My fav part of the parade!!

After the parade we did a few more rides and once again I can't recall what we did but I do know that there was an issue with Splash. I really wanted to ride it but due to the 80 degree daily temps that water shoot thing was turned on and there was no way I was getting on and getting soaked so Dm and I sat out only for them to turn the water thing off 5 mins later

After Dd and Dbro rode splash twice we headed for WL. I took these on our way out..

We attempted to take photopass pics that night but as you can tell, they did not turn out so hot. I'm glad we re-took them the next day!

And with that we got on the bus and headed back to WL.

After telling my kiddos at school I'm going to WDW in a few weeks, 5 yr old girl says to me at lunch: "You know those Disney Princesses are not real. They are just people in costumes." I wanted to die at that point. 5 years old, how terrible is that?!! I said to the girl "You know I worked at WDW and you know what those princesses are real, I worked for them. Do you need me to bring pictures to prove it?!" "No..." Then 5 yr old boy goes, "Well I don't know about that but have you been to Chuckie Cheese..there's a guy in the Chuckie costume there." I got up and walked away after that


Now happier things!!!

Monday
DHS and Artist Point

When I left off we were in our beddies at WL and I was praying I didn't wake up on our last park day with food poisoning like in Dec 2008. In 2008, I woke up in my AKL bed sick as a dog in both ends So much in fact that I did not go to any parks that day and was stuck in bed. I managed to get into the car to let Dd and Dbro into the park and made it back just in time to throw up in the AKL parking lot..thank goodness for bringing a bag! Dm stayed with me throughout the day to care for me and do my dirty laundry We now take travel laundry deterg with us when we travel!!!! The day before we had eaten at Boma breakfast, Caseys for lunch, and LTT for dinner...who knows what it could have been from?!!

Well, I woke up on 12/14 and not sick but woke up to this:

After a yummy breakfast platter at Roaring Forks, we got in the van and headed for DHS!! We got there just in time to be let in for rope drop! We headed to TSM first!!

My highest score ever!

After getting a FP and riding TSM, we headed towards RnR and ToT. We headed towards RnR first and did stand-by. It was a 15 min wait so we waited and rode and then headed towards tower and rode that 3x..can you tell ToT is my fav ride?! On our way to the rides the sky was still not so cool!

After ToT we decided to get a popcorn/ice cream snack and sit in front of the hat and I got a call from my Disney Roomie-E who was coming into DHS. We met up and exchanged xmas gifts..yes I got her Dug as you will see...She insisted on riding Tot since we rode it 12x in an hour once when we were CPs at WDW..and a signature pic:

Walking back towards TSM, Dbro decides to mess around with the street guy:

After riding TSM again, GMR and Star Wars, we headed back to WL. Dd and Dbro wanted to ride boats again so off they went and Dm and I caught some rays and got some fruity drinks and lunch at Roaring Forks!

After some fun in the sun for everyone, we got showered and dressed for Artist Point and MK!!!
