Next week, May 2nd - 7th has been set aside at National Teacher Appreciation Week to focus attention on the many outstanding educators whose work deserves applause.
I urge all of you to contribute to the efforts of improving our schools and reinforcing the quality of education in your community. Let's recognize teachers for the significant role they play in our lives and the well-being of our nation. Let's take time to say "thanks" to the teachers of our community.
As President of the PTO for my 2 DD's school I have planned a week full of fun activities to thank the teachers and staff at their school. Everything from Breakfast Day, Gift Day, Soup Day and it will all end with a catered lunch on Friday.
A simple "thank you for all you do" will mean everything to our teachers next week. Our public school teachers are doing an outstanding job. They perform daily miracles in their classrooms, which many Americans often overlook. We are considered to be among the best educated citizens in the world. And for that, we have our teachers to thank.
Thank you everyone for reading this!
