Why on earth would you want to spend your time doing such a thing? Makes no sense to me when you could be having fun instead!

I did this before some people offered 1 lion pin omg I was like thats sad what if I really was new

someone just offered for my bat someone offered black ears and some else offered space shoes full super hero green and full epiditoin costume so people are mean someone was nice and i said i traded stitch hat for bat magic and they said it was a bad trade but bat magic is still cool looking and someone said bat magic is not rare some people are mean

I don't think anyone would really believe a new person with inferno. Stitch, maybe, cause if you went on vacation and got the cards for it, then decided to sign up, you could be a new person with Stitch. But inferno takes time and effort to get. At the very least getting into a host game and winning, which most new people wouldn't know how to do...

some new people would trade stitch for inferno so they have stitch or maybe they went to the room at the top spun the things without knowing and won

Uh.. staff won't do anything if someone gives a bad offer for something they've said that quitea few times.

Sorry, maybe I am just slow: but the point to doing this what be?
I was confused at first, too, but I think I understand now. He wants us to dress up as beginners, wearing a rare item or putting one in our signatures in order to attract "scammers," who would possibly prey on us and offer something of unequal value for the rare, therefore, taking advantage of us "newbies."

However, like someone already said, VMK won't respond to reports concerning bad offers or trades. Besides, it's pretty much impossible to attain Inferno Magic as a first-time VMKer, so I doubt anyone would fall for our disguise. It might be useful with other items, but not this.

In my opinion, a "scammer" is not someone who attempts to trade poorly, but rather someone who steals from others and/or expects to offer nothing in return during a trade. Just because someone clearly made a bad offer doesn't mean they were deliberately trying to scam you, but rather, they may have been new to the trading world. Heck, I'm still an inexperienced trader and make my share of poor trades, but it's only because I don't know the worth of all VMK furnishings, pins, etc. just yet. That doesn't make me a scammer. ;) With time and practice, that will change.

I don't think this proves anything....not really sure why you feel you need to entrap or incite people into trades and then report them because you do not like what they offer.

Most people that offer "bad trades" really don't know any better. Most are not trying to "scam". To some people, black ears are as rare as inferno. Alot of newbies don't understand the art of trading or fair trades. I wouldn't waste my time trying to "entrap" players. You could, however, "reward" the players who tell you that you are making a bad trade. That would seem like more fun to me.

isn't it kinda like scamming if you set someone up to scam you, then report them? it's like banning people for no reason..

I've said it before, but I'll say it again. If both sides are happy with the trade, then it is a good trade. To me, a stitch set isn't worth more than a Ned pin. A People Mover pin, is worth more than a stitch set in my eyes. :)

just because it's his birthday doesn't mean he's right.. if it was my birthday, and i scammed someone big time, and i got banned.. i don't think that VMK staff would accept the excuse "it's my birthday so unban me!"

of course!!! i totally agree!!!! i just mean that when he comes back to the boards tonight (or whenever he's on), i think it would kind of ruin his birthday for him to read people going on and on about how bad his idea was.................... excuse me though if that was uncalled for..................
