Excellent article and since I have camped in a tent with a digital camera in temperatures lower than 32 degrees I tend to agree based on experience. A couple more suggestions if outside for prolonged periods: wrap the camera (or camera bag) in a fleece blanket. I did this when I slept at night and I also placed my camera bag inside an unused jacket for protection. Hand and foot warmers could work as mentioned in the article but I've seen disastrous results when misused on people so be careful where applied and dispose of properly when done. And always bring extra batteries since cold zaps battery life much more quickly than regular, warm temps. Keep those batteries well insulated also!
