Ever try Priceline for hotels in the WDW area?

We have a couple reservations (decent rates) for hotels for 3 nights- 2/5-2/8. I thought about trying Priceline to see if we can get a nicer place for fairly cheap? I use Priceline in Chicago and have had great rates. Ever try it in the WDW area? I know depends on availability and open rooms but just curious.

I am pretty cheap but even I would never try this. The vast majority of the hotels in the Disney area are terrible. You will get a roach motel for sure

You can get advice on this on the Orlando Resorts board further down the DIS boards. I'm pretty sure the recommendations are to stay with a 4 star or higher.

Thanks. I've always had great luck so thought I would ask. Of course I would select a 3+ star so should eliminate the roach motels but them I'm guessing it wouldn't be the best deal.

We've used priceline express deals quite a few times. My favorite we've gotten, and my favorite hotel in the DTD area for price, area, and room is the Best Western. I don't consider it a 3 star hotel, it should easily be 4.

You do 3 stars and you'll more than likely get the Clarion, which is my least favorite we've stayed at in the area. We've gotten that place 3 times, smh

For the normal rates, I definitely recommend doing the express deal to get way better deals.
