Hey pinpals and fellow Discburps!

I was milling about WDW and found the WDW Featured Artist Mickey Art Deco pin. Of course I paid $$ on Ebay ! The CM said she had about 6 of them. It is a BAP and you KNOW how much I love big pins!!!

Too bad it is not round...then it would be the CAT's MEOW :bounce: :Pinkbounc :hyper:

Have you ever been to Disney and was surprised to see a pin still available?

Susan ( on location )

We arrived at WDW on 12/26/03, and bought the last Mistletoe Lilo & Stitch pins at Island Mercantile.

On 12/28, we were back in Animal Kingdom, and found there were more L&S Mistletoe pins, and again bought the last couple.

We saw the same type of scenario with the Donald & Daisy Mistletoe pins at Epcot.

We were pretty sure that they were deliberately holding back these special holiday pins so the supply would last longer during the busy holiday season. It is common knowledge that holiday pins are big sellers even among non-pincollectors, and I think someone wanted to make sure that more guests had a shot at those special holiday pins.

I was told a pin was sold out and then a mystery box is found the next day, or that same day.

How about last Saturday when the Valentines pins at Magic Kingdom (Jack and Sally) were not being sold because the manager got a sell to cast members only memo. :teeth:

I missed that one but heard it was tense there for a bit.

Or how about you pay full price for a pin, they tell you it sold out, and you find 100's of tem at the outlet store a month later for $2.99 each.

yep The Bad Boys/Girls pins from DLR. I thought they were long gone so when I saw one in DL, I was so excited grabbed it.

Then learned they were everywhere. Re-issued.

My wife actually witnessed a CM at MouseGears hiding LE 4th of July pins in a drawer because they were close to selling out. Apparently this CM didn't want to run out before getting a chance to buy a few.
