Ever purchased a "unlocked" cell phone?

My company is T-Mobile and I wouldnt trade them for the world. They give the worlds greatest service. Sadly there phones plainly suck unlike Cingular's which are awsome. All it takes is to simply get a phone and unlock it. Alot of websites claim to sell these un locking techniques. You can even buy them Un Locked on Ebay. I was wondering if any one has ever done this...

Not I. And I have T-mobiles Sidekick and it is great. I will never go back to the ones Cingular has. And the Blackberries are aweful.
