I've used them many times and never had a problem with them. I use them whenever they're the cheapest! I've always also gotten great customer service!

I'm also a repeat user that was successful...but just remember if you want to declline insurance bring the cover page of your insurance policy not your insurance card...

I've used them 5 times in the last few years. No problems, no lines, always cheapest. Bring a copy of your insurance policy if declining coverage.

Just curious- Are the cars newer, and clean? (ie- same quality as with the Major car rental agencies?) Thanks!! Jill

I've always gotten newer, clean cars. I rent an economy vehicle. I got a Nisson a year ago in April, a KIA in December and last month I got a Daewoo. The Daewoo was not bad looking or running but it was just basic transportation.

I will be the nay sayer of the group. They came highly recommended by my best friend. They also had the cheapest prices, and the initial person I spoke with over the phone was great. Well, that was where it ended. I was renting 2 cars, for me and my in-laws over Christmas week. We got to the desk on Christmas day, and both desk representatives were rude and nasty. Plus they screwed up both contracts. My in-laws and mine should have been exactly the same, but they weren't. My in-laws were charged for insurance they declined, and my husband and I weren't given our AAA discount (I handed each rep. a coupon). We were splitting rental, meaning we were returning the cars after a few days and re-renting, thereby saving several hundred dollars per car. Well I called and complained, we got our money back that they over charged us, and we cancelled the other 2 reservations. My husband said the reps at the desk that day wasn't very nice either. We rented from dollar, it was about 10.00 more for a larger car, and it was great. I will never ever ever rent from L & M again. Customer service means alot to me.

Just my .02 :)

I also have to add that their counter person was one of the rudest people I have ever met. The first time we used them everything went fine, the second time I vowed I would never use them again. We were forced to pay insurance, as we did not have our policy with us, which the rude sales person said we needed to produce to decline the insurance. My husband rents cars quite often for work travel, and he has never had to produce hs insurance policy to decline the insurance. On our most recent trip to WDW we used National with no problems, did not have our insurance policy with us, and did not have to take the insurance.

in 2001. Our car looked good, but we found out differently. It was in June, and since it rains regularly in Orlando during the summer, we were on our way back to the hotel and took the turn off for our hotel. When we went into the curve (while slowing down)the car did not respond to braking, and skidded right off the highway and onto the grass by the offramp. We regained control of the car after skidding about 100 feet on the wet grass, and pulled back onto the road. Upon checking the car afterwards, we THEN noticed that the tires were nearly BALD, and we would have lost traction or control at some point anyways with the wet roads. Needless to say we mentioned it upon returning the car, and have never rented from them again. The person working there had also inspected the car before renting it to us, and we had as well, and had not mentioned the tires.
Luckily we were fine, and there was nothing in our way while we skidded, but it was definitely a scary experience. We can laugh about it now, but needless to say, we have not rented a car in Orlando again, and would rather stay on site and take transportation just to be safe. I know that would probably not happen again, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Also the people at the counter were not the most polite, and after our complaints they were even less helpful.

They are the only major agency that can cancel your reservation if your flight is delayed.

Reservations are automatically cancelled after 1-hour of expected arrival time. If Renter is in route and notifies us of their delay, a reinstatement fee may apply to all late arrivals to guarantee rate category on reserve

Most agencies will guaranatee your rental until at least midnight.
