Ever had to cancel last minute ?

Due to illness or other disability?
Looking like we may be in that boat and I am curious how easy or hard it was to move everything around? (or just cancel)

I had to cancel the day of due to a blizzard in my home airport and the notice that they expected the delays to carry over to the next day.

I called and moved my RO from Feb to Sep.

No problem, then just moved my deposit over and sent me changed itinerary.

They said I would have lost my deposit if I outright canceled.

I'm not sure if this would differ with a package.

For packages, Depending upon how close to arrival you are you may have a $50 change fee for moving. Outright canceling, you lose the deposit within 45 days and the whole balance the day of or the day before. Flights are obviously more complicated.

Can't say I think they'd be very sympathetic for illness/disability in the fees since they offer trip insurance for that reason. They might wave the change fee if you move dates but any discounts would be subject to availability.
