A boss who all day long demands you do work that he should be doing himself, while all he does is walk around all day doing absolutely nothing, all the while asking if you're done yet and telling you what work of his needs to be done next?

Ever had one like this before? What the heck got you through the day?

Yes! How frustrating!! Then you get criticism from not being quick enough or doing it differently then they would have, had they actually done their job on their own!
:furious:

yep, my boss now is like that!! but i leave all of that at work. i try not to bring it home. when i come home, i want to relax and enjoy myself, not think about everything that went wrong during the day at work.

Oh sure. And I got fired for doing it!

Best thing that ever happened to me. Found a new job, making more money and I have a wonderful boss now.

People stink.

My manager is extremely demanding, but he also works as hard or harder than anyone else, so I don't have a problem with it.

It also helps that he is located 5,000 miles away in Germany.

Wish I could say the same about mine! I'm glad when he's located in his office - and that's just on the other side of the building!!! Unfortunately for me, my boss doesn't do much of anything but wander...

My boss leaves me alone. Doesn't even check to see what I am doing. He's too busy IMing women on the internet all day! That's why the company is going out of business!

uuummmm, yes...my current boss is like that and she makes it look like she did the work my co-workers and I do. I generally just do it and complain about her behind her back.

Oh hugs (I take it you are home now, I hope the trip was great!) :grouphug:

When ever I run into you while you are at work, you always are smiling and being cheerful. GOOD FOR YOU! :thumbsup2 :cheer2:

Just think, this is temporary. You are on to bigger and better things. This guy is stuck here. For you this is a stepping stone. For him this is it, his career. How said is that? :scared:

You are learning things along the way too, like how not to be THAT boss! :lmao: :cool1: :thumbsup2

Yeah, I'm home... and to this! :headache: The trip was GREAT! Haven't written a trip report since we did so much in Orlando along with WDW.

Thanks for what you said. It TOTALLY made me put things into perspective! And you are SO right! I won't let this guy get me down!

Yeah, one of my former bosses was like that, but not because he was a jerk; rather, he just didn't KNOW how to do his job. I was bored most of the time, so the extra work was kind of a good thing, but when they refused to give me a raise, I quit. You should have seen the panic on his face then! :rotfl:

I once worked for Dilbert's pointed-haired boss. Seriously! The guy I worked for was about as close as you can get to being Dilbert's boss as is humanly possible.
The only time anything ever got done was when the boss wasn't there. When he was there it wasn't possible to get anything done whatsoever. Thankfully my job required me to spend more than half of my day in a wharehouse a couple of miles from the main store, so I only had to endure his presence for just half a day.
I'm still trying to remember who Scott Adams (the creator of Dilbert) looked like. I'm sure he worked with me.

Do you get charts thrown at you and barked at all day? At least you are not me.

I repeat, several times a day "Because of this job I m going to Disney, I am going to disney. Pirates Of the Caribbean, Dole Whips, Crystal Palace...(take time to duck because a chart is being thrown down on the desk for me to attend to RIGHT THEN, even though the doctor told me I needed to remain on hold to get the results of a very important blood test), It's a great big beautiful tomorrow... At least I get to be home when my kids get home from school... (Why didn't you call this person when I told you) Chef Mickeys, Lecellier... (take time to fix an appointment that boss put in WRONG, happens several times a week, on the phone with that person to reschedule because not enough time was allotted to get another chart thwon at me about an emergency work-in that must be done NOW), I love my kids, Disney is 7 months away... "

So glad you had a great trip. Back to life, back to reality.

I was just there. You would of heard us. (Anna put that back, Lily get back in the cart.) Of course Anna was like "remember when we saw your friend here? Maybe she is here again." So she was looking for you. I spent too much. :headache: No school again today.

Microcell, back in my days before being a SAHM I did the same thing. It was true too, my salary was the "extra" money. (DH was pay the bills money.) Thank goodness we bought DVC a year before I was laid off, now we can still do WDW. :cheer2:

LOL... then you probably saw "the boss from hell" instead of me. It's a pity he had to do actual work today, LOL! Isn't this crazy cold weather the pits! I'm glad I had today off, even though it's still cold in this house. Hope you are keeping warm! Wish we could still be in sunny, warm WDW!!!
