Ever get sick of the haters and Disney-phobes?

This is why I come to chat here on the boards at DIS.

A group of my girlfriends were discussing where they would be vacationing this year. They went around the table. One said "going to the carribbean, sit on the beach, drink & eat all day". :faint:

My other friend said "going camping" & the other said "beach in NJ, & that she just wanted to do nothing all week except sit on the beach"..well after I woke up.. :rotfl2: I said that I was going to Disney..they all said collectively "again?"...yep again I said, we have a great time there & each trip is different. They don't understand why I don't do anything different. They keep saying "there are other places out there too see" blah blah..yea I know that, I have seen a world map you know. :teeth:

One friend actually said that it is too much work to take her 2 kids there (3 & 7) & that she'd wait til they could enjoy it..um helllllooooooo...

I have learned to just stop talking about WDW in front of people like this. Unfortunately I can go on sometimes if asked, so now I keep my big ole mouth shut. I love Disney, my DH loves Disney, & my kiddies love Disney..period end of sentence.

I have people who don't want to take their kids to Disney where I work, too. The most interesting ones are a young couple with a three year old son. Admittedly, I didn't take my son to WDW until he was three, either. But this couple recently took a vacation alone to Las Vegas for a week, leaving the child with a set of grandparents. Listening to them talk, they absolutely hate going on trips taking their son. The best part is, they are going to be second time parents real soon, like in two weeks. Some people make me want to just shake my head and wonder. If they didn't like traveling with one child, is two going to make it better? If you don't want to include children in your leisure plans, why not stop at one or, maybe, none? :confused3
